  • A Submarine Voyage into the Big Blue World

Listening to the song, "The Big Blue World", from the musical, "Finding Nemo", I can't help but think that the Submarine Voyage would benefit from using the piece as a way to economically convey the theme and mood of the story and really give guests the feeling of having been through an experience.

I haven't actually visited the re-imagined attraction, yet, but I've seen video of the related EPCOT pavilion. And, I like the effect of the characters there giving a song to the guests that they can take with them at the end. Also, incorporating a song or two into the show would help differentiate the attraction from the movie and ensure repeat visitation.

For those of you who have visited the attraction, do you have an opinion one way or the other?

It'a been discussed on here that the reason the song is not in the Nemo Submarine Voyage is that Lasseter doesn't like the song. He thought it was pretty lame and decided it wouldn't be in our version.

      Then it's settled! haha!

And the problem with leaving the subs with a song is that well... the exit queue and boarding queue are virtually the same. It's not like a space mountain tunnel for all folks exiting, it's just back through the main queue area and then out. Not exactly stimulating.
