  • 6/25 - Obi Wan spotted in ... Adventureland.

Star Wars' own Obi Wan was spotted by myself, a couple friends, and a lot of young kids seeking an autograph today in Adventureland.

My friends and I questioned the authenticity of him though and we don't think he was a legitimate face character. There was no CM escort which are usually with park characters. And I've never seen any other Star Wars characters in the park and why would it have been in Adventureland of all places? Should have been on Tomorrowland near Star Tours.

I have photos that I will post tomorrow in the morning. I'm currently posting this from my Sidekick cell phone.

Has anybody seen Star Wars characters in the park(s) before?

Edit: PHOTOS OF OBI WAN ADDED BELOW

If it's Ewan MacGregor, I'm packing my bags NOW!!!!!
I give myself very good advice, but I very seldom follow it.
That explains the trouble that I'm always in...

haha what? at Disneyland? I've never heard of Disneyland having Star Wars characters in the park. Maybe he was just a regular guest dressed up??

I have seen guests dressed up before - but never a 'Disney' sanctioned character. I doubt Lucas would allow that to happen.

If Ewan McGregor was at Disneyland, I am going to be kicking myself for not being at the park today. I think we should all stalk, I mean stake out the Grand Cal the next couple of days, just in case.
Anything listed on the park maps as an attraction is fair game for inclusion in the Rally.
I cannot confirm nor deny the inclusion of any attraction in the Rally.

I'm surprised that he wasn't apprehended by Disney security. Only children are allowed to dress up at the park. If I showed up at the park dressed as Belle or something, I would be escorted from the premesis.

If I dressed as Belle, they would beat me, and then remove me from the park.

No, you'd just be asked to change. NOW IF I DRESSED LIKE BELLE, then they would beat me and then remove from the park.

actually, Star Wars characters are used in Disney MGM Studios for Stars Wars weekends, where you can meet the star wars characters (not the actual actors) for meet and greets. also, in the stars and motor cars parade, some star wars characters are in it with their own car, actually.

as for disneyland, I haven't seen stars wars meet and greet characters. I actually thought that disneyland should do this, in tomorrowland. Pick certain well known star wars characters for meet and greets. I don't see why they haven't yet.

but why would a stars wars character be over in adventureland? if it was from the disney character dept., and not a guest, I would have guessed he should be in tomorowland.

Here are a couple photos of Obi Wan.
Again, there was no CM escort with him, he was in Adventureland of all places -- NOT Tomorrowland where Star Tours is... AND he was signing kids' autograph books and taking photos with them. We went and rode a ride and when we got out and were heading back to Main Street he was nowhere to be found.

First photo was taken by my good friend and MiceChat lurker, MadameLeota... second photo by me.
