  • R.I.P. Superstar Limo

I know I am probably going to get yelled at by every Mice Chatter, but I still love the Superstar Limo! I loved everything about that ride, and I have no complaints other than the fact it is closed. I thought it was neat how they involved the riders throughout the entire ride, and posted your picture on a billboard at the end. I just watched a complete video of the ride, and I began reminisce. The website the video was from was created by Kevin Yee, and I guess it was supposed to be a parody? It was a great tribute to a fun ride. I am all for change though, and I have no harbored anger at Imagineers for changing SSL to Monsters Inc. I was just seeing if anyone else on the boards enjoyed this ride too?

I rode it once, in March 2001. From what I recall it was an over Whoopied ride in an overl Whoopied park. I also recall it felt very cheesie as well.

    R.I.P. Superstar Limo!

I did! I think it was better than nothing, and I have no anger because of its switch to Monsters Inc.

I actually didn't think it was as bad as most people say. It definitely wasn't up to Disney's usual high standards, but it wasn't the end of the world like some people hype it up to be. I thought it was quite good for a dark ride actually. I agree with Eyes of Mara, it was better than nothing and the Monster's, Inc. replacement doesn't bother me at all. I think some people just get too carried away with putting down a ride. It actually works to the ride's advantage because you ride thinking it will be the worst ride in the world, then when you finally ride it and find out it's not that bad, you might like it.

I haven't ever ridden it, but I have seen video. It looked so, SO cheesy but like it'd be so much fun _because_ of the cheeze!
          Good morning, son
          In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
          It was pain
          Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

            I disagree.
And, I can honestly say that nothing was better than SSL.

I did go on it and I'm sorry to say that SSL just didn't work. I know that some people liked it and that's fine, but to me it just fell flat on it's face. I didn't like any part of it.

I LOVED it, and appreciate the few times my family was able to ride on it. I look forward to the new Monster's attraction though! CA needs another attraction! :o

We loved the cheese factor and rode it every time we had the chance. We worshiped the Cher figure.

I saw Golden Dreams for the first time the other day, and I realized how much of Whoopi there was in DCA. It prompted me and me friend to see what other rides she should appear in, and eventually create "Disney's Whoopi Adventure" featuring favorites such as "Soarin' Over Whoopi" ("Look, it's her nose!"), "Whoopi of Terror" and "It's Tough to be Whoopi!" (It seemed funny at the time )
