  • face character auditions!

I know threads like this come up a lot, but I just had to share this. I've wanted to audition for a Disneyland face character forever, but haven't had the chance or they weren't casting for whom I could play...but for this upcoming one, I can! And I'm terribly excited!

The best of luck to you! Those auditions really are quite the experience and I truly hope you get cast as a character, or at least a lot further than I ever made! (First round of cuts for fuzzies and face. Yeah. Go me.)

Good luck! I hope you get to be the character you want to be!
There is no right or wrong in this debate. It is simply a matter of perspective.

I'm not picky...I know that you just line up and they look at you and they decide who they'd want you to be. Hey, if they think I can be Disney royalty, that's enough for me

Thanks for all the kind words ^_^

                      Re: face character auditions!

Well, after going to the audition yesterday, the best way to sum up my thoughts is, "Well...that was weird."

So, yesterday morning, I got up at 4:30 a.m. to get myself ready for the Disneyland audition.

The boyfriend and I were off, and we got there in very good time, with a lot of time to spare.

There were nice people all around me, and some very lovely girls.

There were also some girls who I looked at and thought immediately, "Well, they'll be out pretty fast."

But, oddly enough, it was the direct opposite result.

Seriously. They picked...girls who I personally just couldn't see playing any Disney princesses.

They didn't even have the trademark big eyes! I mean, you'd think that if anything that would be a priority...

Oh well, I'm glad I didn't get picked after I saw what happened. If I had been, I would have felt that I was...less than satisfactory, too (trying to be as polite here as possible).

It was just really strange. I saw all these gorgeous girls around me who I could've pictured as this character or that character in an instant...and here were these tiny-eyed, latina-with-blonde-hair (sooo tacky, IMO) strange choices. No offense to them (and nor am I jealous or angry, I already have a job and probably would have turned them down if they had casted me anyway due to driving), but seriously...huh?

                      It just made no sense.

I've kinda lost my faith in the casting department now. Although I've been hearing since maybe the end of last year that there was a huge turnaround as someone new is heading the department or something.

And, somewhat humorous, they were actually casting these girls to finish off the summer season. These weren't fall auditions. I guess they'll be having a massive all-face-character audition for the fall coming up.

If any MCers went to the auditions yesterday and got picked..you probably weren't in my group

I don't know. It was just really strange.

Oh well. At least I got a wristband out of it (and an excuse to go to the park ).

Sorry that you didn't get picked, but you are going to go back and try again, right?? Please say yes!! And what princess are you trying to get cast as...? Enquiring minds want to know.

I would LOVE to be a Disney Prinecss but the only person I look like is Lilo's sister Nani! Hahaha... and I'm too tall to start with (5'7"). So you have to audition for those of us that can't!

Actually, the casting call was for females in the height range of 5'3-5'7. You should check out the auditions page more for upcoming things

I will more than likely go back and try again. This is something I'd really like to do...I'm just wondering what the heck happened to casting.

i heard that 250 or so girls showed up, and they kept 4 or 5.

(but if that surprises you, it's kinda typical unfortunately heh)
