We're going in October, (third weekend/week) and i was wondering about the park conditions. We've been before in oct when it wasn't crowed at all, but then other times (like gaydays) are freaking nuts. Also we're trying to do this trip on the cheap and my wife found some rooms at the super 8 on Disneyland dr (previously Katella) for about 53 a night! But i have no reference about the cleanliness or comfort level. I know it's not the Disneyland hotel i just would like to know if it's clean.

    Thanks for the help

    Re: Trip questions

October is a great time to go. The weather is so nice at that time, and the crowds are generally not too bad. However, last year saw a boost in attendance due to the heavily marketed Halloween decorations. Still, it's one of my favorite times to be in the park.

Can't comment on the Super 8. Check out tripadvisor.com to see if there are any reviews there.

    Have fun on your trip!

We stay at the Super 8 at Disneyland dr. and Ball rd. Is that the same as the one you are staying at? If so I can vouch that they are clean and friendly. We've been staying there for three years now. They also have a continential breakfast of cereal and donuts and such, so we eat there before heading to the park. Good luck

Thanks for the feedback. I'm going to miss the desert inns, where we usually stay but i guess a good thing can't last forever. Here's hoping it will be nice!
