Re: What's Your Favorite Land in Disneyland?

I've already seen a thread exactly like this on MiceChat, but I'll post and vote again for the heck of it. I voted for New Orleans Square, the winner of the previous poll and (I suspect) the winner-to-be of this one, too. It's a hard choice to make, but considering that I feel this is the only land with more than one really good E-ticket and it has some of the most immersive and beautiful theming in all the parks...I can't pick anything else.

That's not to say I'm not tempted to, though. Adventureland is a strong contender, if only because it contains one of the park's greatest (and nearly unique) rides: Indy. Tomorrowland has the potential to become a very strong contender, too, but it needs more consistent and engaging theming outside the rides. Still, I can't get the combined value of Space Mountain, Star Tours, and HISTA out of my head. And half of the Matterhorn, too! And the subs...well, I haven't experienced those yet, so I dunno.

I promise you, NOS will win this hands-down. You heard it here first.

Is it just me...or are the same threads/polls popping up in the WDW and DL forums these past few days?

New Orleans Square is my favorite. Fantasyland would be second.

        Currently, NOS is winning hands-down.

In all seriousness, NOS is Disney at its finest. A perfect combination of theming, dining, and rides.

NOS, easily. I love the fact you can almost always find live music there.

              Can't...choose...must...try...not...to...explode.. .with...possibilities....

For me, it is Main Street. It is difficult to imagine a Disneyland without a Main Street. It is a classic slice of Americana that conjures up the idealistic concept of ‘Anytown, USA’ which I really dig. It literally lets you leave the world today, making the entrance tunnel a kind of time machine. It allows you to put aside your cynicism and disbelief long enough to completely buy into the fantasy, adventure, frontiers and worlds of tomorrow.

Most visitors will be tempted to march straight through the area on their way to the comparatively more exciting attractions and rides found in Adventureland, Fantasyland, Frontierland, NOS and Tomorrowland. Main Street is your portal to all of these lands, so I always am an advocate for putting aside at least some of your day to stop and smell the roses on Main Street.

No, I can't decide. You can't make me!

Critter Country is out of the question, though. The only decent part of that land is Splash Mountain.

I love NOS, the atmosphere is great and it's just beautiful, so is Main Street, but there's just something about Adventureland that makes it special to me.

                    Adventureland gets my vote.

Re: What's Your Favorite Land in Disneyland?

I always love it when my vote in a poll is the majority.

I had to choose NOS using the process of elimination. Tomorrowland is probably my least favorite land (not counting rides, just the atmosphere), Fantasyland and Adventureland are usually too crowded, Critter Country's too small, and I'm one of the people who just walks through Main St. So New Orleans Square was my favorite from the three remaining. I love rides, the buildings, the shops, and the location.

You're wrong, Brer Rabbit, why would I want to be home when I can be at Disneyland?!?

Once again, I will say that it's New Orleans Square hands down. Used to be tied with Tomorrowland. For some reason, TL lost almost all relevance for me starting about, oh say, 1998. Since right now I have no desire to ride Space Mountain, and I've seen Nemo now, I could go a couple of visits and have no desire to be in that Land, which is sad considering how GREAT it once was.
