• Charlie the Unicorn Goes to Candy Mounta--er, Disneyland

For those of you who don't know, there is an extremely popular (not to mention funny) flash cartoon online called 'Charlie the Unicorn' which I took the liberty of posting a link to here for those who haven't seen it:

If you didn't enjoy or understand that....I'm sorry. But don't feel too bad, some people just don't like it.
Alright, so this is kind of a huge cult thing. People have made live action remakes, and I--once I get my hands on a digital video camera--plan on being no exception.
My plan to transfer this to Disneyland is as follows: It starts off somewhere in DCA or DTD, with 'Charlie' sleeping on a bench. The pink and blue unicorns show up and go through the lines, and they begin walking towards Candy Mountain. Their first stop is at the 'magical liopleurodon,' which here will be played by the random intergalactic communication thing in Tomorrowland. When it 'speaks' (does its little dance thing), Charlie will yell about how it didn't say anything. So they continue, on a bridge either on Tom Sawye the Pirate's Lair or in Redwood Creek Challenge trail. When they finally arrive at 'Candy Mountain' (here being played by the Matterhorn), 'Candy' begins to sing and invite Charlie into the cave. Charlie enters the cave--probably either at Pirates Lair or Redwood creek again--and the screen goes dark, and Charlie awakes in the middle of the compass in the main hub to find that his kidney is missing.

I really just wanted to share my idea, but I also want to know: Can anyone see this transfering to Disneyland? If not, can you please help me alter my plan so it transfers better? I plan on doing this in the off season, like a Sunday in late September, to avoid crowds.....yeah.
Thank you for your time

I first wanted to tell you that I laughed really hard at this.

But maybe he should /ride/ Matterhorn? Aha. )

Okay yeah, maybe not. Sorry. That amuses me.

Awsome awsome. Are you gonna use humans? Or unicorns?
I'm not sure how the live-action remakes happen, I've only watched the original.

Humans. My goal is to make is as campy and annoying (but remaining well filmed and edited) as possible to capture the essence of the original. If you've heard Tom Felton's Dr. Demento song "Poisoning Pigeons in the Park," then oh boy, do I have a video outline for you! Guarenteed to make you go .....

That sounds like a really funny and great idea!!!! It'd be cool to add a few extra detours like...

Charlie: Uh, what is that?
Blue Unicorn: It's the scary Tower of Terror
Pink Unicorn: Yeah, Charlie, the Tower of Terror!
Charlie: Um, why do we have to go on that??
Pink Unicorn: It's going to drop us into another dimension! Do you wanna go to another dimension, Charlie?
Blue Unicorn: Yeah, another dimension!
Pink Unicorn: Another dimennnnsssiiooooon.
Charlie: ...... ugh.

lol something like that. Pure remakes taking bit-by-bit from the original is cool too. Love the Matterhorn idea! It's candy mountain!! lol I'll never see the Matterhorn as a rough alpine mountain, it's now edible haha. Indeed, I think the leopluridon thing should be Emperor Zurg talking in a freaky language!! very funny

Good luck with the film!

To bad the sea serpent is gone, that could be the leopluridon

No, the liopleurodon HAS to be the dancing sattelite thing because whenever I see it dance I actually start pointing at it and screaming about how it makes no sense. Art imitating life.

Last night I had another idea. For when the blue unicorrn starts bouncing around, to have whoever shots of whoever is playing him moving around...like moving between shots for the same effect. I can totally picture the crowds moving in the background for that, it'll be freakin' hilarious.

My mom HATES the cartoon and yet she will quote it on a regular basis. It's like Napoleon Dynamite--stupid, and yet.....genius.
