Was that the one that looked like the flying chocolate chip cookie? Or is it something else.

I remeber in 2005 seeing the Meteor, but it was extremely dark and might as well have not been there. I didn't see the meteor at all this year, maybe because it was darker.

I don't remember seeing a meteor a few weeks ago, the first two (and only two) times I rode Space Mountain after the relaunch...

Look to the left as you get to the top of the 2nd lift hill. It's not lite or anything. Wasn't this suppost to be used for Rock'it Mountain but if they lite it, the projections wouldn't work right.

It used to be a big rock with a Fed Ex sign on it.

You said what I wanted to say. They also project a meteor right after the second lift, if you look to the left.

Well, not really...it was the FX-1, a violently orange-and-black geodesic sphere. There are shots of it over at spacestation77.com. No Fed Ex sign. By the way, anyone know what happened to that ball? Goodness, I'd love to have that thing sitting in my garage...

Now I know which meteor you're talking about, by the way. I'd heard about that. I didn't see anything but blackness in that area--I did pay a little attention to that spot, because I missed the FX-1--so the meteor was definitely unlit. I seem to remember something about the intended lighting setup illuminating the rest of the interior too much.

FX-1. Fedex. Same thing. It was all part of that sponsorship.

Wasn't it also supposed to be used for Rockit (Not Rockin) Space Mountain?

Back when Fedex sponsered WDW's Space Mountain, you witnessed the most elaborate Fedex commercial known to man when going up the speed ramps after the ride.
