  • Halloween before and after?

Hey MCer's, I need some help. We are going to have the opportunity to make a trip to DLR right around Halloween. Our options are for the week of Halloween (Halloween is Wednesday this year) or the week after. We can't make up our minds. Which would be the better week? What are the pros and cons for each week? What could we expect in the way of crowds for each of these weeks? Please help.
You can think I'm wrong, but that's no reason to quit thinking.

    Re: Halloween before and after?

if you are going to be there the weekend before halloween expect slighty heavier crowds due the Nevada Day weekend. Since its a 3 day weekend here (and it looks like we might have the same "here" if i read your location right) lots of folks tend to make the jaunt to anaheim...
Will there be screams when the sun sets,

I'd say Halloween Day itself. Some Christmas decorations will likely be up too in NOS - we have pics of some from last Oct 27th in NOS! Ideally, the week of HalloweenTime itself, you can catch both seasons, but Christmas naturally will just be starting.

I believe last year they took the Halloween decorations down VERY quickly after halloween and put up Christmas. Sooo, if you want to see halloween decorations I would go on or before Halloween. If you like Christmas, then go afterward.

disney jones is right, Id choose halloween because it lands on a wednesday and is the middle day of the week and the crowds shouldn't be too bad at all. Like they say vice versa

Which week will have the lighter crowds... the week of Halloween or the week after? Also, How do the crowds at that time of year compare to those the week after Thanksgiving?

I would choose before Halloween because the decorations are awesome and it will be a bit warmer (its gets pretty cold after Halloween...well cold for here anyway). Also daylight savings ends 11/4 so it wil start getting dark earlier.

The week after Halloween will probably be lighter than the week before and the week after Thanksgiving is probably even lighter. That said as you move into the later fall it gets darker earlier and the park will close earlier, and it is cooler.

              A little piece of heaven
