  • DCA segway tour question

I've read Wanda Woman's thread about the tour and decided that my bf and I would enjoy the tour. I booked the tour but have some questions about picking up the tickets to the tour. I told my bf that we'd have to get the tickets the day before the tour because guest services doesn't open until after the start time of the tour even though Disney Tour Reservation CMs told both he and I that we pick them up the morning of. He was specifically told that they will only issue the tickets the day of (which was not the case in Wanda Woman's experience having been able to pick up her tickets the day before).

Does anyone know what time Guest Realations open? Or anyone take the tour recently and have been able to p/u tickets the day of? Disneyland opens at 10am the morning we're doing our tour (DCA happens to open at 10am as well) and having Guest Relations open for 3 hours prior to Disneyland or DCA oficially opening seems odd to me.

Can't hurt to send Wanda a private message. Sorry I don't know. I'd be surprised if they made you come the day before to pickup tickets. Wouldn't make sense for those coming for only one day.

    Good luck!

Never thought of it that way. Good point, I am hoping they don't open at 7am, just made a bet with my bf. If they are open at 7am the day of our tour I will need to wear my tinkerbell costume to dinner at olive garden, if they're not he needs to wear a peter pan one....I much rather eat dinner with peter pan.

It IS very confusing. They tell you to be there by 7:00, and they tell you this many times, to go to guest relations (which isn't open yet), then to meet at the "C", (which no one at security will allow you to do). I tried to explain that they were very adamant on the phone about the 7:00 AM meet time, but Mr. Security Sr. wouldn't budge. Then Mr. Security Sr. left, Guest Services started to open and Mr. Security Jr. said I could go over there now. So I'm standing at Guest Services chatting with the cast member who is opening the window and who said she would help me, and Security Sr. comes over and yells at me, "What are you doing here!" "I told you you couldn't come over here!" "Who told you could come over here?!" I'm not exaggerating. I tried to explain but he just kicked me out. So I waited over at the security line until after 7 when they let me in, went to Guest Services, got my stuff and went over to "C" where happy Segway Tour Guide is waiting. I told her my story, and she says "Oh no problem, we don't really start until 7:45." WHAT? She escorts me to the VIP room where we sign release forms, eat (continental breakfast provided) (that took 10 mins. at the most) and wait until 7:45 when they begin the instruction time. Soooooo, I tell this long story to hopefully help others who may arrive and run into the same problem. I wouldn't recommend getting there at 7:45, you should still aim for 7:00, but if you can't get there til 7:10-7:15, no biggie. Despite the bad start to my day, the tour was a lot of fun. It just goes by too quickly. And they say no pictures allowed which is true, but I brought my camera and when you stop for your official photo, the cast member will take a couple more. You just have to make sure it's in a pocket that it won't fall out of. You can't put it on your wrist.

Thanks mypupmickey. 7:10-7:15 isn't so bad but I guess I was worried that I woulnd't be able to pick up my tickets and then wouldn't be able to get there in time and would "lose out" on the $158 i just spent for the 2 of us. But them opening that early means that tinkerbell will be dining at Olive Garden instead of Peter Pan. oh well, i'm sure we'll have fun (although I am pretty clumsy but hopefully I won't fall off)

Definitely get there by 7am. If all involved arrive on time, they will take you back to the room where they start. Yes, we don't start riding until about 7:45, but that is because of the paperwork to be signed and the initial training. They have a segway in the room and they explain everything to you along with a slide show. It really helps to be able to understand what you are dealing with.

I sent a PM to the person who started this thread. (I hope you received it.) If there is any way to get your tickets the day before, definitely do so. If not, you will have to ask them how to pick up your tickets the day of. Maybe they will arrange it with your tour guide. I would hope they do this. I am sure there is someone who can't pick up their tickets the day before.

Its SO MUCH FUN!!! I hope everything goes well for you.
