To that end I'd like the Internet community to join me in reminding the Disney company that "it all started with Walt." As you can see below we've created some T-shirts, plus a few simple graphics that you can copy and paste into your websites to let folks know how you feel.

You say there "was" one, has it been removed? I thought there still was one. I know it is not a full court and I know they put it up there to get around height zoning code, if the Matterhorn was a Sports Center, then it could be taller (or as tall as it is)

That's an urban legend. And it's more like a quarter court, check it out on Snopes.

Stalking is when two people go for a long romantic walk together but only one of them knows about it.

Some say that is a misconception, but the reason is that long, long ago, in a time where everyone lived in great peace known as the 1950s, , the Matterhorn had mountain climbers whose only job was to climb the mountain. The basketball court was put there so the climbers would have somewhere and something to do on their breaks between climbs.

It's an urban legend still perpetuated by Disney tour guides, no less.
One of the mountain climbers actually brought in the backboard and hoop on their own and installed it on his own. No manager would have ever gone up there, so they just did it on their own without permission (notice it's just attached to the sides of some simple carpenters stairs for maintenance crew to access the top of the Matterhorn) and it was supposedly quite some time before it was actually known to anyone besides a select few.

I sure would like to know the name of the guy who 'donated' it and installed it. HE should be made a "Disney legend"!

I wonder if it's still there?
