  • Parking at Hotels for DCA

    Hi, everyone...

Is it possible to park at one of the DL hotels without being a guest? The ideal scenario would be to park at the GC and then walk into DCA, but even parking at the DL Hotel or PP would work. We have kids in strollers, and those shuttles and/or long walks are killer. Thanks!

Re: Parking at Hotels for DCA

Well, the Self Parking for GCH is actually across the street, behind the AMC Theaters, but you need a room key to enter the lot, but you can park in the Paradise Pier Hotel structure, which happens to be next to Simba.

Disney requests no Theme Park Parking, and sometimes a CM will stand by the ticket machine asking where you are going. Parking is $6 per hour, with a maximum of $30 per day.

So the only way to get close would be Valet, which is $14 per day, PLUS the $6 per hour, $30 maximum.

But there is a way to LOWER the fee, and that is to eat at Napa Rose or Storytellers Cafe and get your parking ticket validated. The will waive the Valet fee, IF you stay less than 5 hours in total.

Also, don't forget that the GCH entrance to DCA is restricted to Disney owned Hotel Guests only, and the policy is enforced most mornings.

So basically the answer is NO, if you need to drop someone off before parking, you can either use the 15 minute lot on Harbor next the the Tram and Hotel Shuttle areas, or in the DtD lot next to ESPN Zone and the Rainforest Cafe (near the Monorail Station) and then park the car in the Parking Structure.
