Feel free to move to the main lounge if you feel it is better there...

My 9 year old son, DisneyIPresume Jr., and I went to the park yesterday evening. Just so you know, when he grows up he is going to build his own amusement park and since the subs opened up he decided he wants a sub ride for his park too.

His idea? The SpongeBob Squarepants Submarine Voyage. It is a very simple ride idea. Instead of looking for an undersea volcano, the ride starts off by seeing a miniaturized Bikini Bottom from the lagoon portion. Apparently you are viewing Bikini Bottom from a long distance. When you go into the cave you dive and get to explore Bikini Bottom directly from the sub, going in and out through the city and seeing all the sites you see in the cartoon.

Not a bad idea I thought. That may have been an even better concept for the current subs, if only Disney had the rights to SpongeBob. But not a bad idea for a 9 year old!...

That IS pretty impressive for a nine year old.

Aren't they building a Nick Theme Park right now? Or at least they are planning it.

As long as there's lots of Patrick in the ride, I'm all for it. I love Patrick!

I've been on a Spongebob attraction! It was at Paramount Canada's Wonderland, Spongebob 3D (had moving seats, some people call it 4D :S) which leads me to believe it wouldn't be Disney that made such a ride, but cool it would be in the right resort/land.

I would wait in a 3 hour line for this ride, easily. Let us know when we should start camping out in line!

This might be fun. But Disney dosn't own SpongeBob!! So keep him out of our park!!

He'll have a happy home here:
The first Nickelodeon resort in San Diego will be a 650-room property at Liberty Station, which will incorporate a 100,000-square-foot water park and activity deck complex featuring a variety of pools and interactive attractions.

Other locations are under consideration at family-oriented resort destinations in the U.S., the Caribbean, Mexico, the U.K., Europe, Asia, Australia and the Middle East.
