well it seems that i will be going to disneyland on the 17th alone 
i'll be getting to DCA at 2/3 am and plan on staying as long as i can stay awake

You won't be alone. I am sure there will be many happy smiling faces, even at that very early time of the morning. I am sure you will encounter many many MiceChatters.
I, myself, am going to be wearing a hat I designed that has my name Barbara Ann on it. I will be looking for MiceChat Badges. I will be listening for mentions of MiceChat.
You may walk in alone, but everybody, especially at that early hour, must share the same love for Disney that MiceChat stands for. I am sure the day is just going to be wonderful, and I plan on practicing my best crowd manners on that day.BarbaraAnn

Don't worry, I'll be alone in the crowd myself. It bugged me for a while, but its not too bad now. Nobody else will dictate what I'll be doing, so I can just wing it (well as much can be winged in the crowd) PLus, I won't have to worry about "Staying together" walking through crowds.
But I am looking forward to the meet-ups, so I won't be alone all day!I reject your reality, and subsitute my own!Comment

If you go, you WON'T be alone...
Actually, if I had a choice (and was actually going) I would prefer to go alone. That way I could do what I want without worrying about what the kids want to do.
Like has already been said, you'll have plenty of company with folks with the same passions as you. I bet that DCA will be a blast that night.

Some visitors on the 17th will be unwitting tourists caught in a firestorm of a crowd they had no idea was going to be there... But some will be celebratory birthday party guests who know that they are part of something special. They will be the ones with a knowing smile on their face. You'll be one of them!
