Disneyland Resort: Day vs. Night

I've always been amazed at how beautiful Disneyland and California Adventure look during both day and night. Different attractions can give off such a beautiful glow at night, while others just glisten in the sun!

So, when do you like Disneyland more? Do you like it best in the daytime? Or do you like it best at night?

For me I'd have to pick during the night. Seeing Space Mountain lit up, watching the fireworks over the Castle, walking past the tiki torches in Adventureland, and coming out of the Haunted Mansion to a spooky night setting always gets me!

So, what do you guys have to say?

I like seeing Disneyland at night, it is so magical!

My first memories of Disneyland are from the night for whatever reason. So the night has always been special to me, it's just a very beautiful place with the lights everywhere.

I agree... the lights make Disneyland come alive. Looking at the park from Main Street after dark gives me goosebumps.

Both are utterly fantastic. I won't vote in this poll simply because I love both options so much. I guess I prefer Tomorrowland at night and the rest of the park during the day, though the latter preference is slight and inconsistent. I also really love the nighttime lighting on Sleeping Beauty Castle.

I like both. In the day, you can appreciate the theming and notice the attention to detail everywhere. You can't at night, but the parks are lit up in a vast array of colorful lights and patterns!

I like Disneyland, period. However, I was talking the other night......that to me, there's nothing like a warm summer night, wearing shorts, flip flops and a tank top........and being completely comfortable because it's 9pm and it's still 75 degrees outside. That is wonderful too me.

However, there's nothing like a very overcast, cool day in the winter months.....all bundled up and ready to embark on your day of fun!

My favorite time of day is right after the fireworks, in Frontierland. I dunno why, but that place is always so empty... And around 11 o'clock (assuming the park is closing at midnight) it's so empty on the pathway to Fantasyland from Frontierland (which I think is beautifully eerie!). I love it.

And the cold air always does me in.

I think Disneyland is pretty during the night, but I voted during the day.

I have nothing wrong with the night, but I always get a little sad, especially when the lights come on for the first time. Because I know that this means it will be time to go back home pretty soon.

For me, the evening is pretty and magical, but also a little sad especially during the transition between day and nignt.

I really cant decide. I really enjoy the park in the daytime, when I can see all the wonderful detail that really makes the park special for me. But I also love it at night, when other little detials or magic pops out that you wouldn't have seen before. MY favorite place at night is in the Indy or Thunder Mountian queues. My favorite durn\ing the day is NOS back streets.
