Yep, and we're looking forward to spending another Thanksgiving Holiday with the Wolfpack.

    See you tomorrow!

Well, there's always Knotts Berry Farm. I did a thread about the two Thanksgiving Buffets at Knotts. It's in the 'Non-Disney Parks' section ??? I think....

In any case, I do believe Mrs. Knotts Chicken Dinners is open on Thanksgiving. And, I believe the 'Chicken-To-Go' window is open too !

        Kids (3 to 9) $16.99

$67 dollars for a buffet? I have been to Thanksgiving buffets that sound similar but were only $30 (and more ordinary ones that were less than $20).

And on top of that you pay a mandatory 15% gratuity to have drinks refilled and used plates bussed away.

All I can say is that some people have money to burn!

Yeah, I was thinking that myself, but afraid to be the first to mention it.

I'm thinking it's a Character meal. But Knotts Berry Farm's Thanksgiving Buffet is over 20.00 cheaper, and has the Snoopy character....plus I think you get free admission to the Christmas Crafts thing.

The other buffet in the Knotts Berry Farm Hotel is also cheaper, too, than Disneyland's.

Maybe you are paying for the Ballroom itself, and the cost of overhead? But a big impersonal Ballroom wouldn't appeal to me. I like something a little bit more intimate like Five Crowns, or that type of setting.

That's just me though, and hey, if someone else were paying, of course, I'd high-tail it to that Ballroom at once!

I can understand paying that kind of money for a very special meal at a place like the Napa Rose, but a buffet? I am guessing that they will serve turkey, ham and prime rib, shrimp and crab legs, smoked salmon, a wide variety of side dishes, a salad bar, a dessert bar with some very nice pastries and cakes and pies, a variety of fresh fruits, 2 or 3 choices of soups perhaps.

Anyway, this sounds a lot like the mothers day buffet we did this year at one of our favorite local (non-chain) restaurants: $26.99 per person. I understand that you will pay more for the Disney experience, but sheesh! No wonder we always eat off property.

Re: Thanksgiving Day Buffet in the Grand Ballroom

I am so glad to see this thread, I must have been sleeping and missed it when Pirate Mickey posted this thread. I am staying at the DLH (checking in tomorrow, checking out Sunday, which is also my bday). I was able to make reservations at Hooks Pointe, which does have a special Thanksgiving meal offered, but would have LOVED to have experienced this buffet. Rats, see if you snooze you loose!

They usually have walk ups with little to no wait due to cancellations if your interested.
Mom, remember, it's not what a person is like on the outside that counts,
it's what they are like in their HEART!

Re: Thanksgiving Day Buffet in the Grand Ballroom

I am seriously considering this option. Afterall I would know in plenty of time to cancel out of Hooks Pointe at 8:30!
I took a look on the web and saw some pictures of past buffets, and I have to admit it looks like quite the experience, I will be so close it would be a shame to not experience it.
Hey Wolfy, take good care of Pirate Mickey, he and his whole family will be floating on air with their good news of getting into the Club!!!
