I uploaded a new video of "Disney Afternoon Live @ Disneyland" you'll see Duck Tales, Gummi Bears, Chip and Dales Rescue Rangers, and Tale Spin! Man that commercial was so catchy back then! And There's another commercial at the end that was called "IM GOING TO DISNEYLAND" that started the football trend. Anyone remember this?

I don't remember the commercials, but I do remember the "Avenue" at the park. I loved that so much, it isn't funny. Or, maybe it is? Thanks for sharing this. It brought back some great memories!

I remember the commercials. I remember the cartoons, but I don't remember the "Avenue." I remember some kids hosting Disney Afternoon from Fantasyland Theater.

Those commercials just made you feel the magic of the park so much. Made you want to get up right then and there and make a trip.

I don't remember the Disney Live thing, but thanks for taking us back.


I have the 10th anniversary on DVD. I love how the tried the trick photography with the cake (but still obvious). It was a great effort to showcase magic and that's what counts!

watching this just made me cry... i need to go back.....


and i wish they'd bring back out some of those characters! like fat cat.. or even the cartoons. those were some good memories...

and i still yell out "i'm going to disneyland".. even right after i got married! (but i was less than 15 minutes away from the park when that happened, so yeah.

Man..good times.

I remember the Afternoon Ave. time at the park. I was 10 in the summer of 1991, and thought it was the coolest thing in the world.

However,

The "I'm going to Disneyland" commercial is referencing the football ad, but the 1991 ad did not inspire it. "I'm going to Disney World/Disneyland", was first shouted by New York Giants QB Phil Sims ater Super Bowl XXI in 1987.

Thanks for bringing back to me so many good memories of Disneyland, and so many bad memories of the early 90's
