  • Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour: thumbs up!

I took the Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour last Saturday and it was great! I learned a lot about the park and Walt Disney's ideas and concepts for DL. We didn't see much of Tomorrowland.

Our tour guide was Karen and she was friendly and nice. She had a nice smile and like roller coasters (a rarity among women). I didn't get a chance to talk to her that much. Maybe I ought to have asked her out, but that would have seemed unprofessional.

Glad you liked it. I loved it as well. And like you, I didn't ask out the tour guide. It would have been rather awkward in front of my daughter, sister and niece.

took the tour before it was released to the public (ap preview)
Back then it was great. We had Debbie (who I think works in Town Hall). She was GREAT!!! (and still is). Back then it was Disney Gallery for Lunch. Where do they go now?

To that end I'd like the Internet community to join me in reminding the Disney company that "it all started with Walt." As you can see below we've created some T-shirts, plus a few simple graphics that you can copy and paste into your websites to let folks know how you feel.

I'm curious about that as well--where has lunch been moved to?

Any insider info on the tour would be great as I'm going to be taking it in 2 weeks.

Since when is liking roller coasters a rarity for women?

Miss when the tour included Jungle Cruise! It was a tradeoff since Tiki was down for refurb but it was an amazing part of the tour, real eye opener.

Now if they would add some backstage stuff to that tour, it would make a good tour great!

The tour now concludes with lunch at the Guided Tour Gardens, just to the left of City Hall. We're back on the jungle cruise now too.

We actually had lunch in the Golden Horseshoe because it was raining. We did get a ride on the Jungle Cruise and got to see the Tiki Room show. We even got to see one of the original AAs from the show.

                          I was wondering that myself!

Hmmm...I must be looking in the wrong place to find the female coaster fans. On our coaster trip to Japan, out of the 30 people, we had 4 women. I think 5 guys were gay (not that there's anything wrong with that!).

This is great news for me, now I can use the single rider line since my wife can no longer ride with me. Nor can my two girls.

How much does the tour cost anyway and is there an AP discount?
Stalking is when two people go for a long romantic walk together but only one of them knows about it.

When I set up my reservation a few days ago I was asked if I was a AP holder.. so maybe there is a AP discount

                                  Current price is $59 though

The Disneyland Tour Guides are part of the Guest Relations Department (AKA the "plaids"). Along with leading tours, Guest Relations CMs can also be assigned to City Hall, Wait Time Boards, Lost and Found, and the Disneyland Phone Room. CMs are trained for each of the positions and are rotated through them.

No clue whatsoever! Because the people that worked with him day in and day out didn't know what Walt wanted. Walt didn't know what he wanted 'til he wanted it."
