Esmeralda's Prophecies'

Hello MiceChatters,

During my September Disneyland trip. I got into a little of "Emeralda's Prophecies" cards that she gave me.

In case you don't what Esmeralda that I am talking about. She is a fortune teller at the Penny Arcade at Main Street U.S.A in Disneyland.

I would like to share with you the Prophecies cards that I got from her and if you have any from her, can you please show them on here too.

Here was my first card:

Emeralda's Prophecies' 1st card to me:

You have a restlessness, with constant disposition to find fault with your work, thus inciting to further efforts. Inclined to alter you views to reach the goal more rapidly. You have an honest, upright nature. Fair in all your dealing, very fond of pleasure. You will be slow to confide in any one. You will be witty and some- what sarcastic in your remarks, but never unpleasant. You like good things to eat, especially when sitting with friends around a well-laden board. You will acquire wealth, but will lose considerable by speculation.

You were born under a star that should have made your life a pathway of roses, but it has not been so because you trusted in others who are not real friends, but seek only to use you for selfish ends. You must get wise if you want to be happy. The time is soon coming for you to make your mark in life; improve the chance. Beware of a man who has dark hair and wears a good deal of jewelry. He is a false friend. Later in life you will be more more fortu- nate and acquire a great deal of property. You may have a little hardship in manag-ing your property. Relatives will prove rather harmful.

Sorry for nitpicking, but I can't help it :-)

Esmeralda is a clairvoyant, not a prophet.

Only going by what the title of her cards say "Esmerald's Prophecies"

I understand. The word "Prophesy" has been redefined to mean "predicting the future", which is not the original meaning at all (from dictonary.com):

7.to speak as a mediator between God and humankind or in God's stead.

I love Esmerelda! I always get a card for myself and one for my daughter, when I go to DL without my daughter. (Which is often now that she's in her mid 20's!).

Here is one I got when I went to DL back in March:

While you are not satisfied with your present condition you must put up with it for a time. A change will surely come but not in the manner you expect. You will join a club or society and will meet a member who will change your entire life, for by the influence of this friend you will meet others who will aid you to wealth and happiness. Your disposition is too romantic, but it will change and you will be able to retain and enjoy a high position in society. Your love of dress will make you some enemies, but they will not be able to harm you. Avoid riding on boats. You are fond of flowers, jewelry, and music and will find your life partner one who is fond of them also. A garnet is your lucky stone and blue your lucky color.

It's a wonder, how you dress? Why would that make "some enemies"?

:lol: About being in a Small World boat. You might had to stayed there for hours or having a sit in the sun too long.
