    Carousel of Progress Video?

    I've got the bug to see the original GE Carousel of Progress. That is, as it appeared in Disneyland between 1967 and 1973. Yes, I know it started out at the World's Fair in 1964.

    Does anyone know whether a video exists of that show? I've seen the tribute video of the show in Orlando as it was a few years back, and that's nice and all... but I'd like to see the old one. The Extinct Attractions Club has a four-volume set with a ride-through, but nowhere does it claim to cover the original show in its entirety.

    The Extinct attracdtions dvd set does not cover the original attraction, although they have a cd set that includes the original show, which has some differences to it after it moved to Disneyland.

      I have the dvd set and many more from Extinct Attractions. They have great stuff but Plazainn1 is right, and I can't find it anywhere. Ant help out there?

        Maybe you can find it on Youtube? (Are we allowed to do that?)

        I'll go search for it real quick...

        EDIT: Nothing on the original ride (hey, it was worth a shot. )

          That's a great video clip. It comes from Disneyland Goes to the World's Fair, one of a number of the old Disneyland TV anthology series that was on Disneyland itself. I've collected all of them over the years but unfortunately none of them cover the whole attraction, just little snippets.

          The audio for the entire attraction is available. My three-year-old son and I like to listen to that on the way to preschool. He demands that I sing "Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow" with him every time it comes around.

          I was hoping I could find the video to show him.

            That is awesome to hear. I, too, love the theme song from that attraction. I also wish that they even had a complete video of the original COP at Disneyland, not just WDW. I know there are snipets of it on one show entitled From the Pirates of the Caribbean to Tomorrowland, but I would like to see it in it's entirety. Better yet, I wish the original was back in Tomorrowland, today!!!
