  • Downtown Disney Additions

So I was strolling along Downtown Disney last night before going to the Jazz Kitchen for my Birthday, and I pondered to myself...what would be cool to see around here? Personally...A Nightclub would be great, A lounge type of establishment would be cool, and since it's SoCal...Either a Tommy's Burger or IN-N-Out Burger...Your thoughts?

I like the way you think! In-N-Out... that's what a hamburger is all about!

The house of blues and a few other places are pretty much night clubs.

I'd like to see a cool diner style burger place, that would be cool.

          Isn't the Denny's on Harbor a "Denny's Diner"?

Please no Johnny Rockets in Downtown Disney. I'd rather they had Annette's from DLParis' DTD area.

I would rather have a unique experience vs. a standard fast food joint. If they did ANYTHING diner related they would have to top Ed DeBevick's!... which would be a challenge.

Didn't Ed Debevick's in Beverly Hills close down?

This may not be upscale or trendy enough for Disney, but I'd love to see either an Olive Garden and/or Red Lobster added to Downtown Disney. A solid, amazing seafood restaraunt would be amazingly good!

Ruby's would work as a "diner burger" type place. I prefer the themeing of this restaurant over Johnny Rockets, and Ruby's got its start in Orange County so it would fit in nicely.

That would be better than Johnny Rocket's. Plus Knott's has a JR's if I'm not mistaken.

A Ruby's would be good yes. I'd like to see something like they have in WDW...a scifi drive in theater themed place or other similar establishment.

Sci Fi Drive In Diner should go in the new Carland.

It could go there too, but thats off topic so I suggested here for DTD.

Well, I for one would prefer something Disney created rather than a chain restaurant! Go outside the property if you want to eat at a chain - there are plenty of them out there and more when Garden Walk opens. Monorail Cafe may have been a bit past it's prime, but an updated version would be welcome.

I hope the monorail will be extended so you can eat at Garden Walk when it opens. If the two Disney hotels are there, those hotel guests will need fast transportation over to the theme parks or they won't like staying there. Why pay to stay at a Disneyland Resort hotel if it's a long walk to the parks?

Meh. I'd like fewer chains, if you ask me.
Going all that way, then getting something to eat that I can have in a 10-mile radius? What's the point?

That would be way cool! I don't think Disney utilizes the Monorail enough as a transportation mode.
