Does anybody have any concept art for this new parade? I'd love to see some! Thanks in advance!

Because the idea was to showcase the Pixar characters in DCA in their own parade, while the classic Disney family of characters were showcased in Disneyland with Walt Disney's Parade of Dreams. That was the intent with the creation of these parades back for the 50th, so making the next parade for DCA pixar-centric continues that creative direction.
As for the parade, rumor has it that it will be more in look and feel like POD, just focusing on pixar, with some rumored elements of Mickey's Waterworks parade from HKDL (meaning there may be a water element). again, rumor.

Why does it sound so much like it's going to be exactly like Block Party Bash?

I'm excited to see this parade!

and does it really matter if a name or show/parade has an exclamation point or not?

If it's that big of a problem why don't you work for Disney and stop complaining about it...

If it wasn't moving, most likely it would end anyway and the new parade would be coming, or it would have just continued in its slightly scaled down form. Or, god forbid, they could have taken it out completely, and not replaced it with anything.
I guess it is all in how you see it. Truly.
I would venture to say it is a combination of the two. I see it as the company attempting to run the cheap way out (big surprise) by recycling a semi popular parade instead of the more expensive route of imagining, developing, and creating a brand new guests experience that would be unique to a specific park. Why be creative when you can simply recycle the same idea, slap the Pixar/Disney brand on it and call it a day.

The marketing of the individual WDW parks hasn't been done in years. It should be interesting to see how this unfolds...

I stated this. I don't understand why you feel the need to correct everything I say. I work at the Disneyland Resort for parades, I don't tell you where stuff is at Walt Disney World because I don't know this. I do know where the floats are, and which ones are in each warehouse. That is apart of my job. I just don't appreciate when people tell me that I'm wrong about my job when I work there.

Pixar Play Parade (now say that 3 times fast).
That is the shorthand version it was supposed to be Pixar's Pathetically Predictable Possibly Painful Presumably Posh Prancing Play Parade.

If it was truly such a failure, I highly, highly doubt it would be going to another park. Truly.

Put a parade in there that truly pleases the masses and people will stroll the 100 yards to see it.

i used to clean the Block Party Bash floats when i was working at DCA in 2005, im pretty sure that they are in bad repair no, with all the dancing and kicking that has been on them. But it will be good to get these shipped off to MGM and we will be getting a new parade, also theres a rumor that Parade of Dreams will be shipped off to Magic Kingdom in 2009, and a new parade will debut just in time for Disneyland's 55th Anniversary.

You think they could come up with something different, something a bit more jazzy or eye catching.

But hey, it's a new parade and I'm excited about it.

The Wharf house has BPB and currently also stores the units for "Mickey's Trick or Treat in the Street in the Parade".

Now what I dont understand, is if the units were destoyed, why would they bring them back. If they would just break up the tightly compacted sections and add small gaps between the units the parade would be longer, plus those units were a bit big, the pinocchio ones, I dont see them making the turn from the backstage road to the start gate, then around sunshine.

And MK had there own units, cause they were sent to paris.
