  • Dressing up the Mickey and Friends Parking Structure

Why didn't the Disneyland Resort use their own modes of transportation to aid in theming the Mickey and Friends Parking Structure?

For the First Floor, they could've painted Mickey riding on one of those Main Street cars. Then,

Chip and Dale in an Omnibus

    Goofy in an Autopia car

    Donald in a steam train

    Daisy in a Monorail

Minnie in a horse drawn carriage

Wouldn't driving around on your specific floor create anticipation to your visit? I mean, everyone knows it's a building intended to house cars. Or is this simple idea too much work?

The drawings don't have to be extremely detailed. Kinda like how they are now. Just maybe half a vehicle to carry out the notion...

It's too much effort/money for Disney to make something look nice. You know, they need the money for the stockholders!

Took mom to Disneyland for the first time in over 20 years this week! Woo!

It's a good idea, but this is ignoring first time visitors to the park.

It does build up anticipation for those who have been there a million times such as myself. But for someone who never has been there it may desensitize them ever so slightly to the magic that they will experience once they walk through the entrance tunnel.

Good idea though. But it's a parking structure. And there's not much anyone can do to make it pretty...

To me its just a parking garage. I'd rather have the money go to maybe DCA or something inside the parks. "Disneyland is the star, everything else is the supporting role."

It would be nice if they had People Movers on each floor of the garage to take guests over to the tram, or better yet all the way to DL.
