  • What's your favorite off-property hotel to stay at when visiting Disneyland?

I haven't shopped the off-property hotels that are within walking distance of Disneyland for some time.

What are your favorite places to stay when visiting the Park and why?

I am a fan of HoJo's, and they offer a 15% AP discount

Same distance as the Paradise Pier Hotel to the Main Entrance.

AWESOME staff, nice large rooms, free parking and high speed internet (uses a standard ethernet cord, not wireless). Great grounds and pool area (the Hot Tub is a great place to watch the fireworks).

I liked tropicanna and the one that changed it's name. However, I prefer to stay a bit further away in the nicer hotels. It's only about 5 minutes to drive and the hotels are really nice. Hyatt, crowne plaza ....we're staying at another on in a couple of weeks for one night. It looked nice on the internet.

I've stayed at HOJO's twice. The first time the room was pretty nice, but the walk seemed never ending after staying in the parks until closing and being over tired on our way back to the hotel. The second time we had the third crappiest hotel room I've ever stayed in.

It's been said before, but I love the Candy Cane Inn. They are close, but still have their own shuttle. Great breakfast and nice pool - just a great little motel.

My favorite is The Candy Cane Inn, nice rooms, great free breakfast and their own free shuttle every 15 minutes.

The Best Western Park Place is also pretty good and very close.

FYI, the Candy Cane Inn shuttle is every 30 minutes, not 15.

My favorite is still the Candy Cane Inn. They have their own shuttle and it is also walkable.

On the weekends, you can often get great rates at the Hilton but transportaion is lousy.

In my book HoJo's is dependant on how close to the freeway your are.

We always stay at Anaheim Plaza Inn. It works great for us since we're just there to sleep for a few hours because it's within walking distance, a lot lower priced than Park Vue Inn, and it's fairly clean.

You're wrong, Brer Rabbit, why would I want to be home when I can be at Disneyland?!?

Ive stayed at the Desert Inn and Suites a few times in the last few years. It right across from The DL entrance and some rooms have whirlpool tubs in them!!

The only down point is the parking lot is very small.

I've stayed at the Desert Inn and Suites as well. They let us park at another property about half a block away when their lot was full. Right acorss from the Disneyland entrance. The rooms weren't anything fantastic, but they were spacious enough and were clean. That's all I care about! I only need it to sleep for a few hours.

Even cheaper, and still clean, is the Motel 6. I stayed there before and it was fine. They do have a shuttle service that makes rounds to it and other "Good Neighbor" hotels but it costs a few extra dollars, but it was only about $64.00 a night I think when I stayed. You get a clean room, a comfy bed and shower.

I second the Motel 6. It's the nicest Motel 6 I have ever stayed at, and I avoid them usually. It is cheap, consistently clean, has great family amenities, the pool and spa are nice and clean...It's the same price as a lot of the rat trap, roach infested, dirty, seedy motels in the area, but MUCH nicer.

There are several off[property hotels that I love. So, the decision is a tough one. Overall, I'd have to say my fave is the Marriott Anaheim hotel. On-site restaurants, pool, fitness center, and concierge -and good looking girls galore! I'm in Mickey heavin there.

I am a new Candy Cane Inn person, dont get me wrong I have stayed in all 3 on site hotels and love them, but for a short trip with no lounge time to really enjoy and embrace the DLR hotels Iam a CCI fan. The rooms are clean , easy on the eye, breakfast is good ( just give coffee and donut till I get to the park for breakfast), but the shuttle is the selling point for me. Its on time, there is no million of other stops like the hotels on the ART system and if I have to walk its close . Other times when staying off property on the ART system I have been way dissappointed in the system and have usually ended up spending more money and time driving and parking and the evil Mickey and Friends parking high rise.

I vote for the Annabella. Service is great, the rooms are spacious... and the beds and pillows are gloriously comfortable, especially after a long day at the park. This property is close to the parks, but if you don't feel like walking back at night, its just a 7 dollar cab ride from the park to the hotel.

In my opinion, its better than the DLH and Paradise Pier.
