  • Dreams about Disneyland

I had a dream last nite about Disneyland. Specifically about the Finding Nemo Submaring Voyage being in a big enclosed facility, being in a giant aquarium with live animals. You still got into the subs but all the fish were real. It was pretty cool. Ive had many dreams about Disneyland before (many times) but I wanted to know who else has had dreams about Disneyland and what they were about. (If you can remember)

Thank you Poisonedapples for my my my signature!!!

I hardly ever remember my dreams, but I know that I've dreamt about Disneyland on several occasions. The one I remember most was that I was Belle, that was pretty awesome.

I dream about the Haunted Mansion all the time. Of course, it isn't the REAL Haunted Mansion, but that's what my brain tells me it is. As a general rule, the haunted attractions I see in my dreams are FAR creepier than anything Disney would dare to put in a park. I often wake up more than a little shaken by these dreams.

My dreams about Disneyland usually place the park in some odd place, like to get to it you need to go to a strip mall and go down a path between two buildings, continue a-ways down and at the end of the path is Disneyland. Unfortunatly in most of my dreams I never get there I'm always en-route.

I had a Disney dream last night. It is weird. It started out at Knott's and ended up in Disneyland or at least Disney related.

I dreamt I was on a roller coaster in Knotts and all of a sudden it went into this tunnel and into a huge room that looked a lot like the part in Indy before you exit and after Indiana Jones is standing in front of the crushed boulder, only it was less brown and more grey. This room was huge and the roller coaster at this point was flat and was just meandering throughout this room.

Then it stopped and a wall opened up and I got out of the roller coaster and into a dark room. We were all standing in this room watching some weird movie -- I don't remember what it was but it was an old black and white movie -- and some short lady started groping me which was actually annoying me very much. She knew I was annoyed but she finally left me alone.

The last thing I remember we went into another room a lot like a small gymnasium or arena lined with bleachers. It was lined with dark grey stones and it was dimly lit but I could see ok. I sat on the bleachers and all these Disneyland costumed characters were walking around. I was really enjoying this until I saw Chip and Dale. This was ok but then another Chipmunk (either Chip or Dale -- does anyone really know the difference? LOL) suddenly appeared. After this chipmunk realized it was bad show for him to be standing there next to Chip and Dale, he ran off and into a cage that was on the side of the arena. He looked very sad that he did something bad.

                I don't remember anything else.

                  Re: Dreams about Disneyland

Yeah, I've had many Disneyland dreams. And I also think dreams are funny, so that's probably why I've had so many.

One of them was of Splash Mountain. It was at the drop, only it was inside and pitch-black. When the log started to go down, I wasn't staying in my seat, but I didn't have anything to grab onto. It felt very un-Disney. That was probably a year ago, but I think that's when I woke up. Hmm, I can't remember any "good" dreams right now.

You're wrong, Brer Rabbit, why would I want to be home when I can be at Disneyland?!?

My dd said that she had a dream last night that Bruce followed her out of the Subs and was trying to go on all of the rides with her!

I once had this dream where me and a bunch of disney characters including buzz woody mickey and goofy were like in park security and we were chasing someone around the park investigation style, finally ending up with a ride on star tours to catch him...it was the greatest!

                        Re: Dreams about Disneyland

When I was young, Space Mountain went through a lot of closures every time I visited the park. I ended up not getting to ride it for a decade simply because of all the coincidental closures. So I started dreaming about it. In one dream, it was a big outdoor cube of tangled pipes and scaffolding, and I was being chased by Br'er Fox along the top of it at night. In another, the indoor queue contained a large, bluish-white gallerylike room--not the space port, I mean.

Boy, I remember standing outside the exit in real life and just wondering what was going on in there...

Anyway, back to dreams. Most of my Disneyland dreams lately have involved alternate versions of backstage. Interesting stuff...most of it rooted in how backstage actually is, but with significant departures. And I always wake up just as I'm about to get closer.

                          Re: Dreams about Disneyland

I've had many Disney dreams. The freakiest was when I boarded Casey Jr., and there were all these mimes in the cages, trying to break free, but there was no sound. Then it started to go up a hill, and it tilted completely sideways, broke off the track, and fell into Storybookland Canal Boats... and then we were underwater, slowly floating into Monstro's mouth... and there were very gory whale guts inside. Very disgusting and really freaky.

I've had several Tower of Terror dreams, where I'm in a normal elevator standing up, but then it starts to drop like crazy (and the elevator is big enough to be a master bedroom!), so we could walk around, and there really WAS a bed in there. Weird.

The happiest Disney dream I've had was when I went on Space Mountain, shot into space, and went into a time warp back into the past... back to Tomorrowland, back when PeopleMover, ATIS, Captian EO, Rocket to the Moon/Mission to Mars, Flying Saucers, and original Submarine Voyage were around, as well as CircleVision and America Sings. I FINALLY got to see what Tomorrowland used to look like, although there were also things I must've mixed from Paris and Tokyo... because the Nautilus from 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea was there, but separated from Submarine Voyage. There was a time travel ride with dinosaurs, much like Universe of Energy, except it was more like Dinosaur! from Animal Kingdom, except not as scary, and it was a log flume ride with dinosaurs.
There was lots more, but I can't remember. I just remember it being really awesome. There was Aquarium of the Future, and I had a blast there!

                          That's about it
I am a rabid Disney fan. Possible future Imagineer (already designing rides for it)... I've only been to Disneyland. I'm hoping to go to Disney World this summer for the first time, and TDR might be possible in 3 years.

Okay, now I remember one of the Tower of Terror. It was exactly as if I was in the ride, all the motions were the same. I could feel it.) Ah, dreaming is so nice.

It's even nicer when you know it's a dream and can thus control it while appreciating the overwhelmingly free realness of it. ::reminisces about the days of lucid dreaming::
