  • For Fun: Matterhorn T-Shirt (pics)

As a follow up to my "e" ticket shirt from the past......
I finally had some time to make another "concept" shirt for the heck of it.

*Only made one. Unfortunately, NOT for sale, trade etc... don't want the Disney suits dragging me to court*

    Enjoy!

    Matterhorn:

Front - Seating diagram from the queue signage. I know the sleds are changing...but this configuration is the only one that I will ever remember.

Back - LOGO/CREST from current bobsled NOSE CONE.

That's awesome! I actually prefer the seating diagram with the women having the flip hair. I miss those.

Do you just take high res pics at the park and then edit the images to screen/have them screened onto the shirt??
                        This shirt is awesome!

                            Yes...to a certain degree...

I had to recreate / clean up some of the artwork assets as they wouldn't look sharp enough when transferred to the shirt. Specifically, the SUN on the logo and white castle with red background I tweaked the colors, saturation and highlights as best as possible to stay true to the original work. I was going to put the "Matterhorn" and / or "Bobsled" text on the front as well....but these fonts clearly appear to be original or hand drawn, most likely the latter and I didn't have the time to redraw them from scratch.

Have more ideas rolling around my head..... I like to keep the shirt designs simple because:

                            1) I acknowledge I lack the creativity to do something that complex and
                            2) I like the simple elegance of doing an image that only the more "rabid" fans (like us ) would notice and "maybe" appreciate.

true there are all sorts of little things you can put on a shirt that only most die hard fans can recoginze
