  • PB's Peanut-y, Patron-y, Pregnant-y Weekend Trip Report!

    Yes...that's right.....pregnant-y!

    But no, not me.....Michelle Hamand!

Matt's and Michelle's news was the highlight of this weekend for me!

Congratulations again Hamand family! : )

My weekend adventure began Saturday morning at the San Jose airport with my hubby. We had a nice quick Southwest flight down to the Orange County airport with just enough time to peruse the Sky Mall catalog (what an array of items it has to buy...from Buddha coffee tables to Christmas fruitcakes! lol) and have a crossword puzzle completing contest (Ken beat me by two minutes!).

Matt and Michelle met us at the airport and we were off to DL. Our first pit stop was at the Sheraton Park Hotel where Ken and I were going to stay . I love that hotel......nice big rooms, nice comfy beds, great pool area. Ken was really looking forward to staying there, but now he says he 'll never stay there again...I think it's due to the fact that he came out of the bathroom shivering and blue after his ice cold Sunday morning shower! lol I had hot water though so I'll go back there again! : )

Our next stop was the Carousel Inn where Matt and Michelle were going to stay. We've stayed there before and think it's a great hotel too. And you can't beat the location...directly across the street from the park. Something tells me Ken's gonna want to stay there next time when we go to DL in December! : )

We were right on schedule to meet everyone at the Pacific Wharf area for lunch! We found most of the Micechatters in line for either margaritas or Mexican food. I was craving Le Boulanger so I waited in line there by myself for my apple, walnut and chicken salad. It was delicious and I had enough bread bowl left to snack on all day, all night and even through the next morning in bed at my hotel....I'm sure Ken really loved having the bread crumbs stuck to his ice cold body when he jumped under the covers to try to acheive normal body temperature again! lol

It was GREAT to see everyone at lunch since it had been since July 17th since I'd been to DL and a Micechat meet. Mickey Maxx and Rixter had made awesome Micechat magnets and pins with our names on them. And Dusty and Fishy had brought happy face bubbles for everyone. Thanks guys!

After lunch , we all headed over to DL..................

( More to come. No pictures till tonight since they're all on Ken's camera which is now in Germany along with Ken : ) )

              Re: PB's Peanut-y, Patron-y, Pregnant-y Weekend Trip Report!

I'll get a trip report going when I return to Colorado tonight and have some time to download some pictures.

I got to spend some quality time with Mrs. Buttercup, her husband, the Hammonds and flyboyhi (the guy who didn't wear his chaps, I'm sure you heard of him) after the fireworks were cancelled. In a way, I'm glad. I got more time to meet with one our boards' more famous denizens!

In a word? THEY ALL TOTALLY ROCK.

Do you need me to elaborate? She gave me crabbie patties (the candy, nothing personal you poopiebrains) and a Mr. Yummy to munch on.

              See? She ROCKS!

              Peace to all!

Ken doesn't return till next Saturday. But don't worry folks....he's promised to put all of his pictures up in Flock tonight for me so I can post them sooner than later.

(Pssst, Wolfy, when do I get the $50 you promised me for going around and telling everyone for you that I was definite that the hexagon orange light was in Start Tours ? So, did you and Marina win because you were the only two to get that question right or not? )

                ^
                Totally kidding folks!

Wolfy, it's always such a pleasure to see you and Wolfette. Hope you two had yummy ice creams on Main Street!

Disney I Presume....what motorboat lagoon? All I saw there were ducks! Lots and lots and lots of ducks. But no motorboats! LOL

Just spoke with my hubby on the phone.....he said he had a great time meeting you and talking cameras in line with you at the HM.

Hey, did you by any chance have ringing in your ears yesterday? Everyone was laughing at me yesterday because I said your name, only instead of pronouncing it local disney fan, I pronounced it low cal Disney fan. I've always said it that way in my head when reading your posts on the boards!

Aashee..wait till you see all the pictures of where that crown was before it ended up on your head!

It turns out I did have the little one with me for your son that said "Disney Dorkster."
I'll bring it in December for him!

Aristocat! It was so good to meet you in person! Where did you and your hubby disappear to after the noon meet? I sure hope you enjoyed your PB initiation! ; )

Getting back to the trip report.....in DL, there were just swarms of people everywhere and lots and lots of red. We headed over to the Festival Arena area. Silly me...I'd thought this was going to be a photo event for Micechatters only, but it turned out to be a HUGE event with people in red from all over the place. The arena was already filled with people and the line to get into the arena went from the entrance all the way back to the Mc Donalds french fry wagon by Big Thunder.

It was fun waiting in line though as there were all kinds of funny conversations going on. I was passing out Mr. Yummies to some people I didn't know and then a little girl who was dressed as Alice in Wonderland came up to me and said "I want a Mr. Yummy!" Sooooo cute! : )

When we finally got into the arena area and were waiting there for a really long time, I started thinking of that Southpark episode where the parents go to the timeshare presentation at the ski resort and can't escape. eeek! There was a guy making announcements about all of the days events and talking about the sponsors. For some odd reason, Matt Hamand got really excited when the Andrew Christian underwear fashion show was announced and Pezz Lightyear was having way too much fun looking at the ad for it in the gay days guide! As for me and my hubby, we were like "Wow! That model has killer abs and those are pretty nice boxer briefs!" Had to do something to kill the time while we were waiting for the picture to be taken! ; )

After the picture was finally taken , we all headed over to the area near IASW to wait for the parade. Some Micechat oldies showed up for the first time that day and we met many newbies. We were also talking to people who just happened to come into that area and wanted to know what Micechat was . We met one couple later on who was convinced that we actually "braodcast" from that IASW area of the park! We told them "No, it's more likely the Cove Bar!" Then we ran into them over there later too! I think they liked us and wanted to join! : )

The parade was great and there's nothing like seeing Dusty and Fishy doing their own interpretive dance versions of it! Oh, where are those pictures?! : )

Must go check Flock....I'll be right back.......
