I am not sure the cost woudl ever be where they could have these for all guests, but its a great idea especially for first time visitors. If the technology come to where it is possible, I could see Disney offering something like this for a daily or multi day rental.

After 70 times to the park in the last 2 years, I'm my own interactive map.

This would be cool--but it's only possible if the technology gets really cheap and REALLY thin and flexible. People aren't going to want big, bulky LCD panels to carry around with them. If the technology eventually becomes really cheap and paperlike, this could be a cool addition to the park's offerings.

In other words, don't expect this any time in the next 25-75 years.

Yeah, dude that's too high tech for me for something that will get put in the giant purse of doom and crinkled, wrinkled, and yeah...I don't know Disneyland is all about simplicity. Interactive map... only if it could tell me "when is Push coming out to play?"

There are actually a number of companies working on creating video displays that can be printed onto paper or thin plastic. Some of the early applications will be short loop videos on movie posters or souvenirs .

Here's a link to one company in the UK which is working on printing a video display to thin plastic.

While it doesn't look interactive yet, I'd bet there are companies working on it. The future is just around the corner Always

    Plasma Souviner maps

I thought of a new kind of map that will be very different from any other.
A plasma touch screen map that will be very interactive instead of reading about the ride/attraction you will simply touch the area on the map then a window will pop up showing you a 2 or 3 minute video about the history and what to expect on that ride, attraction,or show. I didn't think of how much it'll cost but I like the fact that you could take it home and look it over and over again.
