  • [PhotoWalk] 10/7 - DCA and DL - More Night Photography

Took a photowalk on Sunday night, it took me a few days to post these with the crazyness of life going on...finally took a break to play on the internet...

    this is what I saw...

A massive parking structure! 2nd largest in the world, after Disneyland Toyko...so I hear...

The escalators were in funky shape Sunday night, my escalator to go down was broken, so I go down one level by stairs, and that escalator was broken too...so I just took the stairs all the way...

It's HalloweenTime at the Disneyland Resort!

    Hey look a fake bridge!

Made my way thru Condor Flats, by the way those aren't people, they are ghosts, remember its HalloweenTime at the DLR

It was rather busy for a Sunday night, If I remember right the shot above was around 9pm, thats a lot of people for a school night. Then someone reminded me it was Columbus day the next day, not sure if that had any effect.

This was one of my favorite shots of the night, after several tries I was able to get one without shutter shake blur, and without a tripod its really difficult to do.

I have yet to have a meal here...thought Ive been to this bar on a few occasions...

This thing always makes me motion sick...bleh.

Here is one of my other favorite shots of the evening.

First we have ghost people in Condor Flats, now ghost roller coasters???

Here's a different perspective on Pacific Wharf...

More pictures after the break...in a few minutes...

Here's the second and last installment....

Slowly making my way out of the park towards Disneyland...

The Golden Winery looks amazing at night!

          He loves candy corn!!!

          Finally made it to Disneyland!

The original Sleeping Beauty Castle. I think this shot really shows the force perspective-ness of the castle.

Dumbo the 8th Wonder of the World...wait or is that the backside of water....hmmmm

Welcome to the Tomorrowland Terrace, inspired by Space Mountain!

I really like the area lighting around the lagoon...

Made my way over to the west side of the park. This is also one of my favorites of the evening.

          Another favorite.

One of my favorite stores on Main Street...why you ask?

Save your receipt, and you can get unlimited coffee refills...only their coffee isn't the best. oh well.

          That's all folks...

Hope you enjoyed my photowalk as much as I did!

          Til next time...

Wow. Your pictures rock! Several lightbulbs have gone off in my head. I really want to get to DCA at night now.

I know from your previous post that you use a Canon EOS 30D, but what lens are you using? I know the focal length in several of the pictures is 10mm, but what else can it do?

Yup, I use a Canon 30D, I am currently renting a Canon 10-22mm lens, I wanted to try it out before I decided to buy it...I own a few other lenses but I was a bit lazy so I only packed the 10-22mm that night.

Great Photos! I don't go to DCA often at night. The reflection off the water are beautiful.

                          Thanks!

These are some of the best night shots of the Disneyland Resort I've ever seen period. Great job. You said you didn't use a tripod? Wow!

                                        Where was I?

EXCELLENT shots Mouseketeer! I love those shots of DCA, and I can't BELIEVE you got those without a tripod. Maybe it's because I have too much caffeine in me, but there is no way I could do that. I love the shot of the Mailboomer with the Screamin track around it, as well as all of your other shots. As it gets darker this year, I've got to try some of those in DCA.

                                        Thanks for sharing these!
