I have learned ...



1. Dole Whip floats > Dole Whips. (My opinion is so true it's borderline FACT!)

2. I can see Elvis at Tomorrowland ()

3. Walking in Disneyland with a Churro in my hand is a great feeling

4. Jack Sparrow should NEVER walk down Main Street.

5. Monte Cristo Sandwiches are some mighty fine grubbin food.

6. You guys are right .... DCA DOES stink. (ok... stink is a strong word... but man.. it needs work.)

7. Its so.... Refreshing... to know I can buy pirate stuff and a Buzz Lightyear gun right outside "It's a small world" ()

8. Ferris Wheel +Kids who get scared easily + Moving cars in the Ferris Wheel = a whole lot of laughter.... )

People who have a lot of drama in their life are not fun at Disneyland. Sometimes they can't check that stuff at the gate. Speaks a lot about life...drama: unless it's acting onstage in front of an audience, just don't bother with it much, or people who have it in overabundance.

I've learned that it's possible to fit a heck of a lot of cool stuff into a really small space, and if you do it right, you don't even realize how close a lot of it is. I'm talking more about ride layouts than the whole park, but both are true.

I've learned that a lot of people don't know the general rule about staying to the right when walking; especially in a crowd.

I agree with parkfreak about staying to the right, but that's not limited to Disneyland. I also learned that good parenting makes good children. As a general rule, a child whose parent or parents are paying attention to them in line is well behaved. The kids who drive you nuts (screaming, shaking the chains, etc) almost invariably has a parent or guardian who is more interested in their cell phone than their child. It's something I'll take to heart if I ever have kids.

I learned that my mom is a nut.
I also learned that I can do this weird thing with the right half of my face.
But those are things I would have eventually learned at home.

My Disneyland learning basically can be summed into "I learned how to forget all drama and just have a great time".

that a lot of people must get up early and dress in the dark....
that I make the dopiest face ever when I have a Disneyland cup in my hand...
that I REALLY miss my cockatoo, Rebecca...
that I know how how to make rude children get out of my personal space when I'm trying to make water...

I'm sure I'll learn more...I'm very inquisitive!

That I can fly on Dumbo, and pretend that I am 5 years old.

That I can ask someone to take my picture, and they will say "Sure", and do it with a smile.

That I can eat popcorn, and when it spills, it will miraculosly dissappear.

That Mickey Mouse can be in more than one place at a time.

I learned the following
Bad things
1. When a parent is in a bad mood they push the stroller with a little extra force.
2. When somebody runs you over about 10 times with said stroller the words "oops sorry" are supposed to make it better.
3. When you get upset that they keep hitting you - you are the jerk.
4. When a kid cuts in front of your kid to get a picture with a character and tell them to wait their turn - their parents will be pretty bit**y about it.
5. Some people really forget how to be courteous when they are in the parks.

Good things
1. Some people are truly very nice people.
2. A little green water splashed on you is not a bad thing
3. There is room for 1 more ghost in the HM
4. DL is the best place I can think of to forget all of my worries
5. At the end of the day the things in the bad list don't count if they happened at DL

People are just plain stupid, in general!

Working at Disneyland is like being in high school all over again!! Who is dating who, people kissing butt. Managers are the principals, the Leads are the teachers, and the CMs are the students. It's Disney High!

People will never take you seriously, no matter how mad, or how hard you try, with Mickey Mouse Ears on your head.

I've learned:

1. That I always get butterflies in my stomach when I walk through the entrance tunnel.

2. That I can always find a group of friends at the hub at noon on Sundays.

3. Big Thunder rides are way funner with Scarlion.

4. Sometimes it's OK to go and never get on a single ride as long as you're hanging out with cool people.

5. Sometimes it's OK to go by yourself and get on every ride you want, when you want.

6. To pay attention to the small details. You never know when they'll end up in a quest.

I've learned that as long as I spend my birthday in Disneyland, I never seem to get older (at least mentally!!)
