  • Any MiceChatters go to Western High School, in about 1972?

Yesterday at the thrift store I found an album called "The Singing Christmas Tree", as performed by the a capella choir from Western High School, under the direction of Alex Encheff. Recording was made in 1972. According to the program notes on the back of the album, they performed the songs on the album at many Orange County locations, including the Disneyland Candlelight Procession on December 16th and 17th, and at the Disneyland Hotel Marina on the 21st of that year. It's a wonderful album. Did anyone here maybe perform in the program? It's a beautiful album. I can make an MP3 available to anyone interested in it.

Forgive the bad pic, had to use my celphone cam..

I didn't go there, but I certainly admire them!

One of my favorite Disney clips is from the Disneyland 10th Anniversary episode of The Wonderful World of Color TV show...in which the Western High School Drill Team marches down Main Street dressed in hot cowgirl outfits with short-shorts...firing their six-shooters and blowing on the barrels. Makes me think very un-Disney thoughts every time I see it.

    Yee-Haw Western!!!

Of course every one of those young cowgirls now qualify for AARP.
