Monsters Inc.: I like the ride, but, are there any plans in the DCA makeover to redo the facade?

I honestly think it sticks out like a sore thumb in the area. I would rather see something that matches the surrounding buildings with subtle hints that it is a gateway to Monstropolis. Maybe do it up as a nice 1920's or 30's style building with the monsters popping up in windows from time to time. This change would give the ride a nice "build-up" to the ride experience, but right now it feels as if there is no "build-up" to the ride experience and it just throws Monstropolis in your face.

The facade is not very good. On the other hand, when you get in the building it has plenty to keep your interest. I hope they do something with it to fit the Hollywood area better.

I hate being able to see the steel structure that supports it from behind. The entrance area and queue is so terribly cheap looking and lacking. The exit is even worse because all the walls are bare and you can see all that purple steel. They should do something.

I drew up some art work that serves as a solution to the drab facade. I can scan it but it might take some time. the work was just for fun of course.

Maybe they will do something about it when the ride goes for the major closure after Thanksgiving-February?

I would like the Facade to look like you walk through Boo's house and some of the other parts of Monstropolis. It can be sort of like a Roger rabbit type que.

^^^ I was just about to post a pic of that myself (the building for the ride being built in Tokyo).

I am not sure the facade/building being built in Tokyo would fit any better with a Hollywood theme than what is currently there.

It looks kind of art-deco-ish to me so I think it would work just fine with the right color scheme.

Does anyone really care about Monsters, Inc.: Mike & Sulley to the Rescue?

It's a fairly weak attraction, irrespective of the fact that the thing detracts from the Hollywood area?

I'd like to see the building and the ride system used for a new show, eventually.

It's the huge industrial building behind the entrance that throws me off.

There is defiantly room for improvement.
