So, the Walt Disney Company was contracted by the United States Department of State, specifically Travel, to produce a video to showcase America to current and prospective foreign tourists.
The video, entitled Welcome: Portraits of America, is featured on the government website,

I noticed one particular scene with air balloons that is similar to the one featured in the Soarin' attraction.
The video is awesome, set to the the soundtrack of Epcot's IllumiNations, and features sweeping aerial landscapes of different parts of the United States.
Could these shots also be used in a possible future sequel of Soarin' or is it still too early for Imagineers to be thinking of that?
Watch the video and see for yourself. The video will occupy approximately seven minutes of your life that you'll never get back. Be warned.
