  • Tarzan at DCA?

Ok, so I'm a huge fan of musicals of all types. I love Aladdin at the Hyperion at DCA. I love Finding Nemo at DAK. So I had a thought, I never got to see Tarzan on Broadway, but from some of the reviews I read, they compared it to a glorified theme park show. With Tarzan closed from Broadway, what if they were to cut that down and put that in the Hyperion theatre? But what about Al? We expand him even further and send him to the Great White Way! I personally think that Aladdin would do much better on Broadway than Tarzan or even Little Mermaid will do. But that's just me, any other thoughts?

I think It would be wonderful to see Al hit Broadway! The movie is formated much like a traditional Broadway play and would prove to be a lot more successful than Little Mermaid. As far as Tarzan I dont see why not. It's not traditional but its vary much in step with LA theatre.

Only if that means the Swiss Family Robinson can return to their treehouse.

Great idea, both ways. Aladdin's story is a great fit on Broadway, and I can totally see Tarzan swinging around the Hyperion.

I had a dream last night that there was a Lilo and Stitch theme park musical. (I'm not sure which park it was supposed to be at). Stitch singing a Broadway-style musical number in that distinctive voice of his was pretty interesting...

This is a wonderful idea. It would be nice to see a new show get installed into the Hyperion. Although, with the DCA redo I don't know if a now defunked broadway show would exactly be the route Disney would want to go. I did vote for Tarzan to go to DCA and Aladdin to broadway, but if Disney wants the new DCA to really wow people they need to put an all new broadwayish show in there. Perhaps a broadway version of Sleeping Beauty, The Emperor's New Groove, Hercules, or Mulan?

There used to be (might still be?) a Tarzan show at Paris Disneyland that could probably be used at DCA. Also, Hercules: The Muse-ical will be leaving the Disney Cruise Line, maybe it could move into DCA. But I love the Aladdin show, I would be very sad to see it replaced.

I like these. I was thinking about some of these and I love these. Send Al to Broadway and then something else could come in, not just Tarzan. I thought about that but totally forgot to put that option in the poll. But yeah, who else has an opinion out there?

There already was a Tarzan show at AK. It was replaced by Nemo. Also, if Aladdin were to go to Broadway, that wouldn't mean the show in DCA would have to close.

Sure, the Tarzan musical will go in the new TARZANA-LAND going into the Timon Lot next to Cars Land. It will re create the Valley, it'll be, like, totally awesome!

Would it? When Beauty and the Beast was on Broadway didn't they still have the show running at WDW?

Well, I wouldn't say that BatB on B'Way tanked... closed yes, but didn't "tank" in the normal sense of the word. Anyway, I've always been a fan of Pinocchio, what about a musical for the little wooden head?
