For me it's the "magic in the Air"


there is something about being in Disneyland. Just being there. I can't describe it.

I could just sit anywhere in the park and be content that I am in Disneyland.

The rides don't hurt


[edit]... I'll say nostalgia though.... I honestly can't remember what I felt when I was there for the first time.... I know I had a blast .. but I was young.

I voted nostalgia but landscaping and archetecture come in a close second for me.

I think that the nostalgia comes from how detailed this all comes in. If it wasn't for the detail it would be tough to convince you that you have escaped reality.

And of course the service provided by all the wonderful CM's helps a lot too!

Interesting poll. But even if there were more choices I'd still choose nostalgia. Bringing my family is number one and the fact they are interested in my nostalgia keeps me coming back over and over again.

I can't possibly vote fairly in this thread. It's a three-way tie between the first three options. The high-quality rides form the backbone of the experience--the root of why the experience is fun--but the importance of the beautiful environment is HUGE, and if not for my bloated sense of nostalgia, I probably wouldn't come back all that much. Those three are really just the three major reasons I go.

I'm gonna vote for the rides...but not because I think the environments are unimportant, and not because I'm not drowning in wondrous nostalgia every time I go. I'm gonna vote for the rides because they are the one element of the three that Disneyland would be least likely to survive without.

i voted nostalgia as well, seeing as it holds so many good memories for me, but what draws me to the parks today is the life that surrounds and engulfs the parks. There's an entire sub-culture that's been created by disneyland, honestly very few places have such die hard fans that would assemble themselves every week and devote an entire forum for the sole purpose of discussing events, trivia, and experiences at the parks . For me it's watching people discover new sights and encounters to be had in the park, how they handle being in such large crowds, and of course how ap"s keep things fresh and interesting for themselves. So i guess i keep coming back for the people :crybye:

So many people voting the nostalgia option? Well..I did too. Maybe the rides aren't that important when you are forced to choose what is most important to you. It will be interesting to see how the numbers change as more vote.

Nostalgia. In Disneyland I can run and play and feel like a kid, and nobody cares because they (usually) all feel the same! Disney itself is very nostalgic for me, I grew up watching those movies until the wore out! So when i'm at Disneyland i'm surrounded by all those things that made me happy as a kid. You just really feel like you're in a magical place.

I voted for "The beautiful landscaping and architecture of the parks", but I would prefer to just say the detailing in theme and atmosphere instead. I wasn't sure in the first choice if it may have included theme or not, but that's what makes Disney parks better than anything else out there, IMO.
