  • Going in June...what do you think?

Unfortunately the only time my family has available this summer is May 31, June 1 & 2. Am I committing crowd suicide? Will it be unbearable?

Yes. Yes it will. With the whole 5oth anniversary and the onset of summer, I believe it will be crowded. Hope you don't mind a few elbow nudges and rampaging strollers... :o
Marge: Barnacle Bill's Home Pregnancy Test? Homer, shouldn't we have gone with a better-known brand?
Homer: But Marge, this one came with a corn-cob pipe!
Marge: [reading from the test box] "Ahoy, Maties! If the water turns blue, a baby for you! If purple ye see, no baby thar be!"
Homer: So, which is it? Blue or purple?
    Marge: Pink.
    Homer: D'oh!
Marge: "If ye test should fail, to a doctor set sail!"

well they do fall during the week so it will be a little less crowded. We have to find a way of looking at this positively

That's true...I just looked at the calendar. You'll be ok during the week.

Do you really think so? In addition, I believe that will be before school sessions are over for southern Cal schools. (Maybe I'm just looking for a silver lining :o ) This is why I need your input guys. hehe.

Well, is there any other time you were thinking of going instead? If you're going during the summer months, the time you chose is probably the best. From what I remember, I think the schools get out sometime in June?

This is THE ONLY time my family can go. We're 4 adults with jobs and college to contend with, so its amazing our schedules coincided at all for this. I have cousins that are in school in SoCal and I believe they are out mid-June. If this is true, should it make any visible difference in park crowds, or are the masses expected to be primarily out-of-town vacationers?

I'm surprised you WERE able to get everyone together to go! Bravo! It shouldn't be too bad at that time. You're not going in the the heat of summer which is when the real crowds come in, plus you're going during the week which is always the best time to go for the least amount of people.

Now are YOU trying to find my silver lining?? lol. jk. I hope you're right. But I'm sure you can understand my concern. We're going for 3 days to pad ourselves making sure we don't have to be in a real big hurry to see everything. I am, however, nervous as one member of our group has never been to the parks, and I'd really like for them to experience as much as possible.
