Disneyland: Memorial Day or July

I'm trying to decide if we should come down over Memorial Day or at the end of July/beginning of August. Both are going to be busy. Most of the rides will be reopened in May, although not all of the birthday stuff. July & August are not only crowded, but after the "main day" and should be a mad house.

So, when would you go, given the choice?

i would do end of july just because space mountain would be open by then
