  • [Fun] Park Etiquette: Let's make a list.

After having a long discussion at dinner last night about common courtesy and etiquette I thought why not list what we all believe to be good park etiquette.

    1) Please keep right and DO NOT stop in the middle of the walk way. If you need to stop please pull over.
    2) Be aware of what groups have small children and try not to walk between them. You wouldn't want to be separated from your wee one would you?
    3) Please allow for personal space in lines. If you're in group have at least one adult in front and one adult in back and allow reasonable space in between for the kids. This works big time!

I have many, many more but please add your own.

    4. Please don't place your children on your shoulders during parades/fireworks.
    5. If you're wearing a backpack, please be aware and don't bump into the people around you.
    6. Please put your phone down and pay attention to what is going on around you.

      7. Please do not use flash while taking pictures or video taping rides or the shows.

Keep your hands out of the water on wet rides.
Your entire party needs to enter the line together and stay in line together. No coming in later, no coming and going from the line.
Don't try to squeeze out the single rider who is joining your vehicle.

          8. Please don't use strollers/backpacks/wheelchairs/anything as a device to push through a crowd and get ahead.
          9. Please don't judge anyone using the DAS pass and if you are using one please know that there may be a line of DAS users ahead of you.
          10. Please don't say things in front of kids that may offend parents or upset the kids if possible (don't swear, discuss the characters being fake).
          11. Just be a nice person and people will be nice to you.

            12. Relax and stop taking everything so serious. You're at Disneyland.
            13. Understand that the thousands and thousands of people around you have all paid hard earned money to be there too.

Please smell yourself (or someone for you) after going through a water ride.

I've almost fainted once because it's so musty. No offense.

Singing along: Yes! when Jose asks you to- belt that song out!
On PotC, Ok to quietly sing along with the chorus.
NO to quoting the Ghost Host etc.

Strollers- be extra careful with double-wides. Use the stroller parking areas.

                Dont use too much aftershave/perfume.

                  Yes!

Well, it's sometimes Ok if a kid really needs to use the restroom, quickly.

Right. Never make them uncomfortable or screw up the line loading system by asking a single to take the next car/boat/etc. If a CM has directed them there, then go along with it.

Don't film parades, shows, rides, etc with your device over your head(it's not like there's not a hundred of these videos on YouTube already)

Please don't. Especially in my ear.

Is your scream real as you have never seen it before? Then, Ok, I guess. Fake scream- no.

Don't get mad at the Cast Member for not allowing you to use the Fastpass past it's return time. They're just trying to do their job.

Be aware that there are guests in the parks using Electric Convenience Vehicles (ECV). Please be considerate and patient with them. They're having a tough enough time trying to navigate their way through a crowded park in that thing.

I would add balloons to the list as well.

Bottom line: Don't leave your brains and common sense at home. I think that should take care of everything listed so far.
