    A New Fantasyland Theater

    So I hear Toy Story LIVE may actually be for a Disney Cruise, not Disneyland's Fantasyland Theater. And I know how much some of you like to talk about putting an E-ticket or two in this area. But I'm one of those who would like to keep this area as a theater. But that's not the argument right now, I'm simply putting out an idea.

    Instead of enclosing the Fantasyland Theater, why not redo the entire area to put in a round-about theater similar to HKDL's The Lion King set-up. This way Disneyland has a in-the-round theater and DCA has a traditional proscenium theater. Maybe theme TFT like a real medieval tent as a facade...

    It would be nice to get a similar production from HKDL, then Festival of Fools, then so on and so forth. And this would be a nice tribute to Festival of Fools. But in being more of a tribute, perhaps Disney could put in some sets behind the seats... Obviously the shows will change every couple years but would still use the spinning floor, decorative floats, etc.

    As nice as the Princess Fantasy Faire is for the little ones, I would love to see it go dark permanently and the Princesses return to their realm: Fantasyland proper. The area is seriously missing something now that you no longer see Belle, or Aurora walking through the castle. As for the theater itself, I think it should be taken down, along with the Big Thunder Ranch and that whole area re-zoned as Frontierland. The ranch would be kept, just redesigned to be an extension of the typical western town, still with all the animals. The facades could be used to hide a C or D ticket and the area where the theater was could be used for another D or possibly an E ticket. It would be a significant expansion to Frontierland, desperately needed, and put the princesses back where they belong, roving the land instead of in a receving line all day.

      Anything so my daughter can't drag me back to the PFF again and I am in. Although I woudl prefer that whole back area get revamped into a ride or true attraction, if the theatre attraction is good enough, I woudl support it.

      Oh and like mycroft16 said...please put Aurora back, it is her castle and all!:beg:

        I say, get rid of PFF, put the Princesses back where they belong: in front of the castle and wondering around, redo the theater, and put in a new show there!

          PFF is not going anywhere fast! Lots of money comes in that way.


          Toy Story show is going to the cruise. I had not heard it every coming to the parks.

            What I read in March or April that the Princess are going back to the castle in Spring of 08 and the Fantasy Faire is going to be the new home for Tinker Bell and her fairies. There going to putthem there when the new Tinker Bell movie comes out next year.

                  Wow, hadn't heard that rumor, but I can't say I'd complain at all. Princesses back where they belong, and access to Tinker Bell (FINALLY!) even though she should be out by the castle as well.

                  I know the theater isn't going anywhere, but I can dream right? =D

                    That is so exciting that the Princess are going back. I have seen pictures from this october of the princesses escaping from the faire and greeting guests at the front gate. That is a dream and I hope it is like that when I go in January. Escape for just one day. I hate the faire and I can't wait to see it go. Put the Princess Back in Fantasyland around the castle, telling stories together at the front gate and standing in the garden with their princes like before.
