  • Mr. Toads wild ride refurbishment

    Hi Friends,
Just a quick question regarding what was refurbed in the last Mr. Toads repair? I noticed the other day that the fountain inside the attraction was dry, I was wondering why the fountain was drained and not refilled during the last refurb. Also does anyone think the steam will ever return to the last scene (hell)?
    Thanks again!

The fountain has been filled and running every time I have been on it. Maybe it was just being cleaned when you went on it.

Now that you mention the steam, I don't remember seeing that for quite awhile. And hell feels a lot drier than it normally does as of late...

Motors were all replaced, and I believe skirts were added to the bottom of the cars to prevent smooshed feet.

Great thanks for the info. I bet the all the steam was messing with the props etc in the final show scene. Bummer, that really was a nice touch. Glad to hear the fountain hopefully will be back. I must say that all the gags besides the Fountain and the steam looked great! I am so glad that attraction is still open on the WestCoast, what a shame they closed it at Dworld. It is a very fun attraction!

Steam mechanisms are a funny thing. Sometimes they work and others they don't. It'll be back.

I haven't been on that ride since the time there was so much steam in hell I had problems breathing and had a panic attack...

It also got a LOT of very heavy painting that looks absolutely fantastic. The characters in the fountain area and Winky probably look the brightest compared to before, and the train collision is colorful now.

                Very true!
It is great to see! I cannot wait until the fountain is refilled and steam is once again in hell, then it will be perfect! But either way it is wondefull now and I am so glad we still have Mr. Toad out here on the West Coast.

Mr. Toads Daring Journey has always been a favorite of mine. I haven't noticed the need to refrub much. But I will say, one thing that takes away a lot of the magic for me on these rides, is when garbage litters the path of the vehicle.

                  This is the worst.
Ah, how strange! The molecules are so active now!

When Toad was suffering from Motor Mania he traded the deed for Toad hall with Winky the bartender and his weasel friends. The struggle to retake toad hall from the weasels left it in shambles, and thereby required much work to put things back the way they were.

                    Hope this answers your question.
