      ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME!?!?!

Sorry about the sudden outburst. I let my emotions get the better of me...

Let me get this straight if this rumor is true - no costumes, no Fantasmic, and now no fireworks during our upcoming trip. What's next? No rides at Disneyland? No parade, either? Grrr.... I hope this rumor isn't true. That is during a peak time Halloween, Christmas, New Years. I can't see this happening, but then again, I couldn't see them banning costumes at Mickey's Halloween Party and look where we are.

Oh well. Gotta think on the positive side! At least the rides will still be there (hopefully).

Have you guys ever seen memes - specifically the Bad Luck Brian memes? Well I'm feeling like Bad Luck Brian plans a trip to Disneyland right about now

Makes sense to cancel fireworks for a while. Given what's going on backstage!

like ... the most major re-working of backstage areas the park has ever seen!

Dear Peoplemover Fans, If you want to see a new attraction that at least mimics the 1967 Peoplemover in a future Tomorrowland remodel, you need to write to the powers-that-be, and let them know. If you don't - Then the next time Tomorrowland is remodeled, you will see a land barren of any "Peoplemover" type attraction.

I hope it's true. I really want the parades gone the most though. It bugs me how much they shut down the park each day for these shows.

As someone who rarely watches fireworks and also likes to walk around the park at night without catching a case of claustrophobia, this sounds fantastic.

I'm not planning on going during this time, but I'll be interested to see if it affects AP sales, or daily attendance. With all that's closed at the park, losing the fireworks may be the tipping point.

Disney could just blame it on the wind for 6 months and skirt responsibility. :P

I may be overly optimistic, but I think people will end up really enjoying a more peaceful evening with no gridlock of people jamming Main Street and scoping out spots hours in advance.

Really...you put that much face value on your AP to go see overcrowded area's of the same fireworks and parade hoopla? Wow

Have they ever shutdown fireworks for a lengthy period before this? I don't buy this rumor at least not yet.

Hopefully this remains a rumor. I very much enjoy the Halloween Party fireworks and would be disappointed if they were canceled. I generally skip the parade so if they nix fireworks I may actually hit a meet and greet with some of the characters that come out for Halloween.

There was a time when fireworks were not a nightly thing. I hope we return to those times. Once a year perhaps? July 4th?

Hah can't believe people are complaining about this. If the choice is Star Wars Land closes every day at dusk for the next 20 years or there are no fireworks for 6 months what an easy choice to make. Who knows, maybe the new firework launch location will even allow Toon Town to stay open. Very obviously worthwhile trade off though.
