    Hey all,

New poster here. Just a quick question, with the recent announcement of the expansion at DCA what is going to happen with the personalized bricks in the esplanade?

The expansion only goes to the California letters. Are there personalized bricks beyond that point?

I thought not. Well I guess that means nothing is going to happen to the personalized bricks in the esplanade.

There still may be the issue of the mickey hat thing that may go in the esplanade, but if they need to I assume they will just relocate the bricks.

And to the OP, welcome to MiceChat!!!

I was thinking, since the bricks are in the shape of a compass wont it look disproportioned once the move the gate out?

Actually I just looked at it on google earth, on the Disneyland side the planter boxes (and monorail supports) start just at the tip of the bricks, moving the entrance out to the CA letters will actually make it more even on both sides so I think it will be ok. Not that I am happy about loosing the C A L I F O R N I A, but it will still look good.

The bricks can be easily relocated to another section if need be. They are not cemented in.

We have three, and none of them are next to each other, so moving them to another section wouldn't bother us.

Of course, they would have to be re-labeled with the new location.

                  No biggie...

                    Mickey hat thing?
                    Good morning, son
                    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
                    It was pain
                    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...
