  • Tony Baxter

I was shopping inside the DISNEYANA shop on the 17th (waiting for the Walt Opening Day Reboradcast at 4:45pm) and saw Tony shopping. I was so excited to finally meet him. I got him to sign one of my DL 50th maps.
WALT'S DISNEYLAND DEDICATION SPEECH! - To all who come to this happy place, welcome! Disneyland is your land. Here age relives fond memories of the past, and here youth can savour the challenge and promise of the future. Disneyland is dedicated to the ideals, the dreams, and the hard facts that have created America, with the hope that it will become a source of joy, and inspiration to all the world.

I saw him right after the 4:45 ceremony... but I was too shy to talk to him. He seemed pretty engaged in a conversation with a small group. Lucky you to get an autograph! I was just happy for the "celebrity sighting."
Does anyone even bother with signatures anymore?

Back when they had one of the subs in the lagoon and were testing effects for the new ride, we saw him at Disneyana, then later on the sub. I've a feeling that he shops there quite often.

Hate to sound stupid, but who is Tony Baxter?
Mom, remember, it's not what a person is like on the outside that counts,
it's what they are like in their HEART!

Also the man behind Discovery Bay. I'm glad he was there. I was RIGHT around there, too! Arg! He's one of my newer heroes.
Well, light travels from the sun. Then, bounces off of our planet, and back into our eyes so we can perceive color. My body can intercept that light and dance around on it!

I was getting a cup of coffee around the same time next door. And I saw him walk right out along with Bruce Gordon. Naturally .... of all days ... you know plenty Disney Co. people were going to be at the 50th Anniversary.
