  • News Take A Sneak Peek At Guardians Of The Galaxy Cast Member Costume

New technical advancements, multiple hilarious ride experiences and high-energy music will set the stage for Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! when it opens this summer. But it’s the Cast Members working inside The Collector’s Fortress that will truly make the attraction incredible – which means they’ll need epic costumes.
Cast will become employees of the Tivan Group, run by Taneleer Tivan (aka the Collector), welcoming Guests to see his prized possessions including his most recent addition, the Guardians of the Galaxy. Walt Disney Imagineering Associate Costume Designer Christine Burchett created the Cast costumes, pictured here.
“There are so many layers of detail in the film costumes that I wanted to capture to make our attraction costumes feel authentic to Guardians of the Galaxy,” shared Christine. Along with watching the original film several times for inspiration, she also partnered with Marvel Studios to get an advanced look at the costumes in “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2,” coming to theaters May 5. “Being part of the collaborative team that gets to bring this attraction to life is an incredible feeling,” said Christine.

So everyone dresses like Chris Pratt's character? I thought he was supposed to be the bad guy to the Collector? Why would the Collector hire Chris Pratt wannabes? I guess it goes along with everything else not making sense in this jokey cheap overlay.

Shocking that people are finding ways to nitpick about this ride. I NEVER would have expected that!
My signature is NOT larger than my post, nor should yours be!

I think they actually look good for what they are suppose to be. And no they are not and do not look like the gear that Chris Pratt's character Star-Lord wear.

In my opinion if you look at the gold symbol on chest piece of the cast costume they look similar to the symbol on the uniform that Gamora has in the latest trailer. Its the scene where she runs to fight the Abilisk, which is the new monster in the new movie.

So I assume she steals the uniform while being held prisoner by the Collector. Which gives more credence to my belief that this attraction will be an extension of the movie.

Sorry couldn't do a screen grab, but here is the trailer I'm talking about, its at the 23 second mark where you can see the uniform Gamora has on:

I am going to miss the old costume though. I thought they looked pretty cool. They'll probably ship them out to Orlando, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they sell them.

They look pretty cool to me (and absolutely NOTHING like Starlord)
              "Have I gone mad?"
"I'm afraid so. You're entirely bonkers. But I'll tell you a secret. All the best people are. "

Looks great. Ya I see not Starlord just a cool and comfortable outfit. Easier to work in I would imagine.

Although I can understand if it is someone's thing to be disapproving of the changes at Disneyland and DCA they probably won't like any new costumes, rides or new shows.

Ya sometimes I wonder if we shouldn't just have a separate section for posts like that.

I actually like the design of the uniforms. They look rather stylish

Again with the condescending blanket statements. I and many others would be totally behind Mission Breakout if it was it's own thing, fit in a land that made some sense, was actually compelling and not a poorly designed facelift of one of the most popular rides in the resort. If any attraction deserves to be nitpicked/criticized/condemned it's this train wreck.

So, what time are you gonna get there on opening day?

Jeez...speak for yourself. Little in common with Star Lords costumes. I'm sure we'll hear how you disapprove of every element in the new attraction. Yes it's your right...and ours to comment on too...

Probably noonish. A very good day to go on Radiator Springs Racers.

Ok if you want to form your opinion of a dish before you have tasted it, you are certainly entitled to do so.
