Hey Everyone, First time I've posted in a long time. This morning I had quite the unusual experience. I dreamed that I was at DL and more specifically in the haunted mansion. Sooooo... Anybody else have dreams (strange or not) about Disneyland?

Re: So does Anybody Else Dream About Disneyland?
I've had Disneyland dreams before. I once spent a very sad decade without going on Space Mountain, due to coincidental closures every time I was there during that span of time, save for the last visit, when anxiety problems made the trip an unpleasant one. Anyway, during this time, I had numerous dreams of "alternate" Space Mountains. One involved Br'er Fox chasing me around on this cubical structure of steel scaffolding outside at night. Go figure.
In more recent years, many of my Disneyland dreams have focused on the backstage areas. Gets quite frustrating, actually, because I'll wake up thinking, Oh, so THAT'S what that area looks like! And then I'll slowly and begrudgingly realize that it was just a dream, and therefore I didn't actually learn anything--it was all just my brain guessing what was there.
Oh yes, I reckon I've had about a million of 'em.

Just last night, actually. I had been reading the thread about the snow and icicles on the castle. Then I dreamed I was at DL and there was a big wall around the castle so you couldn't see the Christmas decorations being put up. I also dreamed I was walking down Main Street and there was ice like a skating rink and people were ice skating up and down MS. Then I was walking into the HM, and the POTC. It was a cool dream, actually.

Re: So does Anybody Else Dream About Disneyland?
All the time. I've had perfectly normal days at the park in my dreams and I've had crazy whacked out dreams where the you ride in the Thunder Mountain trains on Space Mountain.
Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep. mycroft16 on Twitter

Re: So does Anybody Else Dream About Disneyland?
I've dreamed about Disneyland for as long as I can remember. The last few years my dreams have incorporated old and new features of the Park. I dreamed that I walked over to the Hall of Minerals after getting off Big Thunder, or that I went to Space Mountain after bouncing around on Flying Saucers.
I always try to find clues to help me figure out what era my dream is set in. Then there are always my 'dream' Disneyland dreams where I remember things that have never been there. Like the one inn which I rode Cinderella's carriage down Main Street. One of my favorites...

Re: So does Anybody Else Dream About Disneyland?
What's strange about my dreams is that they're definitely about Disneyland, but the actual place where I'm at has very little resemblance to the actual place, usually only incorporating the very basic concept of an attraction. For some reason they usually focus on Splash Mountain; I've probably dreamt about being on it dozens of times, but each time it's completely different and only similar to the real thing in that it involves a log flume. I guess that's normal.

Re: So does Anybody Else Dream About Disneyland?
I had a dream right before Father's Day that my dad and I were in Disneyland and I remember that he was wearing a vintage Disneyland jacket that almost looked like an old aviator jacket with vintage 1955 patches on it. (That is the best way I can describe it) I kept trying to find the jacket in Disneyland in my dream. The thing that was cool about it, is that my dad died almost 10 years ago, so I believe he came to visit me in my dreams and we went to Disneyland!

Definitely have dreams about Disneyland. I also dream about being in and around DL with my MiceChat friends! Strange dreams though, with various DMCA members popping up in the strangest scenarios. You people have warped me.I give myself very good advice, but I very seldom follow it.That explains the trouble that I'm always in...sigpic

I wish I'd dream about Disney when I'm asleep. I dream about it all day sometimes. When I was a little girl I had dreams about seeing Mickey and Goofy projected against the sky and done in fireworks. That was way before Fantasmic.Spyed the Black Pearl from Cabrillo Beach

Re: So does Anybody Else Dream About Disneyland?
I had one of the best dreams of my life a couple of months ago.
I dreamt that I was walking around Disneyland with none other than Walt Disney himself.
I don't remember talking to him or him talking to me. But at one point I remember myself asking him, "Can I hold your hand?" I was feeling the way a son would feel toward his father or grandfather -- nothing creepy there.
But just the overall feeling of warmth and hapiness is what permeated throughout this dream. The best in all of my 39 years!

I have only ever had one dream about Disneyland, however, I have had this dream many times throughout the years. I haven't had it in quite a while, but, it always has to do with POTC and the parrot & turnaround right at the entrance to the ride. BUT, there's a big difference. Imagine that you're in a mall. Now, imagine that all of the store fronts were actually the entrances to the rides (specifically, in this case, POTC), but they don't look like the real entrances to the rides. They look like generic, blah mall stores... until you go inside. Pretty bizarre, huh?

Re: So does Anybody Else Dream About Disneyland?
I had a dream just last night that I was at Disneyland! But... it wasn't Disneyland because Disneyland doesn't have a pavillion full of walrusses. But it was a new addition in my dream!
Crazy.

I had another dream last night about Disneyland. Only it was when the People Mover was still around.
