  • Why did they remove the toontown Frozen yogurt?!

Does anyone know why on earth they removed the ToonTown frozen yogurt machines? This was one of my "Favorite" Disneyland treats.
I am bummed about this, I wish they would rethink that decision!

They removed it entirely? (was it the one called Clarabelle's something or other?) When we were there in September, it wasn't open either day we went to TT, and that bummed me out (just 'cuz I like frozen yogurt in general), so maybe that was the beginning of its end.

The storefront/stand is still there but no frozen Yogurt, the machines are gone.
They sell fruit salad and Icecream bars now.
            So strange.

i had no idea, that's such a bummer! i would think frozen yogurt is a healthier alternative to all the ice cream in the park, too. why WOULD they do that?

They removed all frozen yogurt from the ice cream shop on Main St. too. I was so big time bummed when I discovered this in May. I am so sad.

There is one possible place to maybe find frozen yogurt. White Water, over at the Grand, has, or at least use to have, a self serve frozen yogurt machine. I don't know if it is still there or not. However, every time I visited the park within the last year it was never up and running. I'll have to check it out in December.

                  This makes no sense,
Can anyone with any clout in management of food services please bring this issue up. It is ridiculous that "the happiest place on earth" aka "where dreams come true" does not have frozen yogurt in the flagship Disneyland Park. I know this is not a "show stopper" issue, but it just is lame. I would hope they rethink this brilliant, suit and tie, cost saving strategy, (i.e "were only making 500%profit on the yogurt machines vs the %800 on the icecream bars) yes it makes sense to the "suits" in the yellow buildings.
But no it is lame to me, my friends an my family that enjoy that frozen yogurt treat very much.

There are a great many things that Disney has removed that I wish they'd bring back. The only one that is/was on my list is that they did bring back, was the subs back. Even if it is with modifications...

They should put it back...after all, there's nothing else to attract people over five to that area of the park. I really don't like Toontown...it's exactly what Walt didn't want-the parents sitting on benches while the kids having all the fun.

They also took Frozen Yogurt out of the Gibson Girl parlor on Main Street...I'm lactose intolerant so I dreamed of sitting on Main Street with a nice gooey, yummy, sundae like everyone else in my family only mine was made with yogurt!! I know it existed once because I have pictures of us eating them waiting for a parade!! It's back to frozen bananas while others drizzle their caramel and drop marashino cherries into their mouths....sigh

You hit that one right on! Toontown really needs some serious TLC thrown its way.

Tender loving care. Means it needs some attention.

I also miss the frozen yogurt, I can't believe they got rid of it. Just another way Toontown is getting the shaft from management. I don't understand it...

Seems like they removed the frozen yogurt from the entire Disneyland park! Very bad decision

You know, that Dole Whip is pretty legit, so I would recommend those of you that miss the yogurt in Toon Town, to make your way over to the Tiki Room. Now, here is what I know about the missing yogurt...

As we have all learned by a thread regarding the mass of park-goers, people are getting fatter. Well it is supply vs. demand. People want food that tastes good. For some reason, a lot of this good tasting food is bad for you. So because this is what is in demand, one yogurt stand gone, 2 new mobile ice cream carts are in.

It is too bad, but that's how they do.
Ah, how strange! The molecules are so active now!
