Hey, when I go to renew my AP. Can I go on a blockout day? I already sent in the renewal form.

Yes, if you renew THAT DAY. Your renewal ticket will allow you entrance into the parks. Make sure once you get your new pass that the CM gives you a Re-ad, though..

The answer is NO, you sent in your money, so they would want the $40 blockout fee.

The only way this works is that you get a NEW AP, so if you have a Deluxe or Premium, you give up the renewal discount (which is $20, so if the timing is right, is the cheaper way to go), with the SoCal's, since there is no discount, is clearly the way to go.

You basically go up to the Ticket Windows and tell them you want to buy a NEW AP, and once they see your name in the computer, they might say, "Do you want to Renew?" Tell them no, I want a new AP so I don't have to buy a blockout pass. This should let them know what you want to do, though a few new CM's might not figure it out.

But since you already sent in your money, you are out of luck.

        Yeah.

Since you have already "renewed" by sending in your form, you're done.

Maybe you should have asked this BEFORE you sent in the funds.

        Sorry.
