  • Senior discount - never heard of it before!

Hey all, just thought I'd mention that if you are wanting to stay on property and you have someone over 65 with you - there is a senior discount through central reservations.

I have never heard of it - and I'm the one who always researches options on our trips down. I believe it can be different for each of the 3 hotels, and it may depend on the time of year, but it IS worth a call to Central Reservations. I beat the cheapest package I could find (AAA, Disney Travel, Alaska Airlines) by at least $700 bucks per room, by using the senior discount of 30%. Each senior can have two rooms (but you don't have to use the senior's credit card).

Sorry if this is very old news for you all.

The senior discount age is not 65...I used it in 2005 when I was 61...guessing it is probably 60. When I called for rooms at the DLH that trip it was the reservation person who told me about it, which I thought was very nice....she told me when I mentioned I was bringing my granddaughter. I used it again a few weeks ago booking the hotel for our March 1-9 2008 trip. It is always the best deal I can get on DLH rooms.

I wish they would have a Senior Discount for Park Admission and Annual Passes. Something more in line with the fact that we seniors who are retired have to get by on a Fixed Income from the Government, and it ain't much.

That $2 off really helps out when...nevermind. It doesn't.

Well, damn. that means Disney owes us about 1000 bucks from the last time we were there! (Although my mother says she would pay full price if she could have 20 years back! LOL)

that's quite interesting to know... I'm wondering if I can get someone I know over 60 to pay for the room, me through them, and get my discount even though the person over 60 won't be going to Disneyland... I mean I'm taking her to Disney World for the holiday season and she doesn't really want to go to Disneyland..

Now I'm wondering if WDW offers a senior's discount...
