Pixar Play Parade

This just came out in the AP newsletter:

Leave it to your Pixar friends to turn DCA into a giant playground. Beginning Spring 2008, "Pixar Play Parade" brings together characters from all eight Disney-Pixar films for a colorful, imagination filled salute to playtime. This new parade features, acrobatics, bungees, playful choreography, interactive surprises, and even water effects, all set to a dynamic soundtrack of orginial tunes. Be sure to get a front row spot for the fun!

That concept art just looks weird looking to me. I can't possibility imagine it to be a real float. It's all cartoonish.

It looks different in a good way though. A little on the wacky side. I wonder how they expect Sulley to pedal though!

I don't think this is going to be powered by Sulley. I see drive wheels being implemented here.

I'm sure Sulley pedaling is just meant to be for show, but I don't think they can do it unless they don't use a costumed character. Which would be a bit of a let down if Sulley was fake.

My thing is, why waste characters for a opening unit, when they could be used on their owned themed unit?

auditions for this parade will be held early next month, if anyone's interested (i would be, but my upcoming back operation will prevent me from dancing for at least six months )

Three cheers for "dynamic soundtrack of orginial tunes". I tend to love the original compositions used in Disney parades and fireworks. The use of rock music in Block Party Bash was just painful, presumably an attempt to make the parade "hip & edgy".
