  • Why isnt there any WDW SWGE information??

I know this topic probably belongs in the WDW section...but from the looks of that Forum its a Ghost Town of there. So with all the hype around So Cal's SWGE opening coming up, why isnt there any information, pics, video's, concept art...anything about SWGE over in FL. As I see this being a much larger land, that will actually have all of its E-Ticket rides open come opening day

There are several other large forums that cover WDW from stem to stern. Micechat has always seemed to focus on DLR and not so much on WDW which for me is fine since there are lots of places to get info about what's going on in Orlando.

I think because there are only a few key differences. For one, you won't need a reservation to enter to land like in Disneyland so it will be first come, first serve. I imagine if the virtual queuing works well here in Disneyland, we may see something similar come to Orlando. In addtion, Disney World is going to be offering "Extra, Extra Magic Hours" for all of their parks when Galaxy's Edge opens. This means that Hollywood Studios is going to be opening at the insane time of 6am to allow more Guests the chance to experience it, which I think should help a bit.

Finally, I want to touch on your point about Disney World's Galaxy's Edge having all rides on opening day: it won't. Disney World's Rise of the Resistance is delayed the same as Disneyland's so it will open even later than when SoCal gets theirs. I've heard that theirs is even worse off than ours, currently. This link from the Walt Disney World FAQ website confirms it: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/fa...tance-opening/

      Hope that helps!

First of all, the name's not "Zippy"! As a matter of fact, I don't believe I've ever met another bot named Zippy, so one can only assume that you came up with "Zippy" in reference to my speed, which may be technically accurate, but lacks a certain creativity!

Sadly, due to the nature of WDW being more of s vacation destination rather than a park for locals, there isn’t a lot of activity there. I guess once people’s vacations are over they stop wanting to talk WDW. (Not people like me, though.)

Best WDW info IMO is on wdwmagic dot com's "WDW Parks News, Rumors and Current Events" and "WDW Parks General Discussion" subforums.

"Disneyland is often called a magic kingdom because
it combines fantasy and history, adventure and learning,
together with every variety of recreation and fun,
            designed to appeal to everyone."

            - Walt Disney

"Disneyland is all about turning movies into rides."
            - Michael Eisner

True ..:-) but just making the point and I find it kind of odd that I havent seen or heard a peep of this project at WDW.

WDW SWGE is the same size as DL. They are both 14-acres. I believe the only difference between the 2 lands is DL will have 3 entrances and WDW will have 2. Essentially, the concept art is the same for both locations.

Even though it isn't inside the actual park, the SW resort being built in WDW is sort of like a companion expansion to Galaxy's Edge. That will sort of make WDW's unique and a much bigger scope once the resort opens up.

I originally assumed anybody would be able to visit the SW resort just like anyone can visit the other resorts now. But I have heard that it may also only be open to guests staying there, which would make it a very unique and exclusive experience to compliment Galaxy's Edge.

Did anyone look at this impressive "Fan" creation of the original light saber battle enhancement between Vader and ObiWan?
